The show has OTT Romance drama written all over its face and why are they expecting it to be social drama? They had huge problems with KTK and Feroze Khan shows.....actually they were brutal in their reviews of KTK.

This drama could have been a nice drama with high rewatch value if the makers had put thought in developing the story.
The main leads have different ideologies. Male Lead is a conservative guy and places the respect of the family above. Female Lead is a liberal minded girl who fights for the rights of a woman. This story could have put focus on their journey, how they grow as individuals and as a couple, how they bring change in each other in a good way, how they become strength to each other. We could have got their love story in detail like the process of falling in love of male lead then him realizing his feelings then him trying to pursue female lead.
From the female lead's side we could have got her struggle to adjust in the family then her struggle between her heart and her mind where her heart is falling for Murtasim and her mind is reminding her of the sufferings she faced because of this marriage. Then her seeing his unwavering love starts taking steps towards realizing her feelings for him.
