LOL sadly they made it that oversimplified, warna matter toh kaafi complex tha. But now they've made so light of the fact that she slept with a near stranger to get money for her son's treatment....lol matlab son treat ho gaya, woh stranger ab friend ban gaya toh baat khatam?đ Just few days back in the Shamita case, she had a dialogue about how she will never forget that kaali raat but it has stopped traumatizing her that much now.....lol bhai how? Simply a few months passing made you forget such a HUGE thing? And chalo I can even understand ki it's human nature to try to move on from bad memories but phir bhi uska kuch undercurrent toh hota hai na in the person you're interacting with.....how does all the awkwardness go permanently poof without actually processing the baggage of that night?
Agar itni hi modern and evolved hai Katha toh phir itne guts bhi dikhaa de ki talk candidly with Viaan about that night and what all it entailed....but she tries to act all high and mighty like she's above it all simply cuz she refuses to address it and makes it appear like that doesn't have any reflection on her life or her interactions with Viaan anymoređ. Toh yeah then one has to wonder ki kis baat ka grudge lekar bhi baithna tha itni der? lol what was she giving accusing looks to Viaan for when it was as impersonal as a business transaction only? All this time her issue was only on how that night reflects on Viaan's character? lol nothing to do with what she went through emotionally and mentally? Waah bhai slow claps to such "evolved" writingđ
Baat wohi hai na ki complex topics toh le lete hain to set up an initial conflict in the story but baad mein they never know how to actually navigate it. More or less it always ends up with ML apologizing/groveling and baat khatam....bas niptaane waali baat ho jaati hai phir.....lol. Is story mein that ONS baggage was a major compelling conflict to begin with.....now with that basically going poof, the rest of the story is feeling mostly underwhelming and aimless. If they had the guts and ability to actually navigate that ONS baggage long term for the story toh phir bhi kuch meat bach jaata story mein. Now they've diluted it from all sides and just made it a generic sa love story in many ways.
