Really? Looks exactly the same even the poster looks the same and I think the storyline will be similar even if it isn’t fully copied.

Only difference is 22 yards was a movie but I think 22 qadam is a drama.

I suppose it’s too early on. But here on India forums there are so many Barun fans they would already see the similarity. Honestly you should watch 22 yards.

From what I have read/seen of 22 Qadam, it seems more like a mix of Chak de India and Bend It Like Beckham instead of 22 Yards which is more of an Indian Jerry Maguire. Given how long ago 22 Qadam was shot, Wahaj was not a big name then and I do not think this series would revolve around his journey. I think this is more of a women's empowerment series especially women in sports so he will more likely have a supporting role. Since Wahaj is so famous now, Green channel is smart in using his name and face to promote the series.

Yes maybe. It says 22 yards is based on films like Jerry maguire and the blind side but I suppose in 22 qadam instead of a guy he helps a girl cricketer grow I guess. I think it probably is the same but they’ve changed parts here and there.
