@bold - I think that is bound to happen with shows like this that go on indefinitely. Actors want the popularity and paychecks. We will watch as long as we are invested and eventually will wean off it.

@blue - that’s my story as well. I haven’t tried watching any ITV show recently - this is my first one in over a decade and I got too invested too soon 🤣🤣🤣

Such a great discussion! All the points raised are very valid regarding the target audience vs audience attracted by content

I think the show so far did a great job of balancing both. Except the Divya track which was total lose ball, other tracks progressed the story in one way or the other

If you look back from where we started, the character graph for Dev Vidhi can be seen but there are some hiccups of course

For me personally, if they can improve the wardrobe which has become an eye sore lately and keep show the leads supporting each other sensibly, i can handle the unnecessary drama from other characters

Even if you compare to OTT or English shows, they all have parts of the story that people just have to tolerate so this content issue is across all platforms

Both Dev and Vidhi's story stands out because of sincerity and simplicity which is their usp. As long as they stick to it, it will give them the ratings

And like you guys, i am also too invested in Dev Vidhi's story so unless the makers really screw it up, i'll be watching lol

@bold - this is the most important thing for me - I can tolerate a lot as long as this is maintained. Which is why the whole Divya thing was a very tough pill to swallow for me.

I am a sucker for characters who stay true to their convictions and their core personality traits. Both dev and vidhi have been portrayed to be that way so far (the divya thing apart - but I’ll give the makers a pass on that). So I hope they come back to their senses.

@blue - that’s another very very valid point - most shows across platforms/languages/countries struggle to move forward once the main plot point has somewhat been addressed.

Wardrobe for them both is an eyesore - I’m hoping we’ve said this enough number of times for there to be a small change atleast.

The quickest way to loose me is by introducing a leap and separating the leads through the course of that leap 😬 or an infidelity track - as long as we don’t get to that point - they will have my support as an OTT viewer.

Dev was very much portrayed as smart Shrewd businessman, the current portrayal is completely unconvincing.

Remember Dev's hair, costumes and thr over all look in the first boat promo?? How classy he looked.. He still looks good but the costumes are not going sny justice..

For Vidhi ... Lesser said the better.. I don't even want to start.. Slightly darker clothes can make her look little elegant.. But yellow yellow dirty fellow seems yo be her thing.. In thr upcoming episodes too I'm blinded by her yellow dresses

Everybody else gets nice clothes except Vidhi Dev..... I loved even Satya's black saree seen in Abhimanyu arrest track.... the material had a nice fall and innovative half printing.

Be it Priya, Satya, Chitra.... everybody gets stylish clothes.

Vidhi ko shaadi ke baad first time saree dee to kya tacky green with full sleeves. looked worse on her than Amba in similar dressing.

Bold- if they bring such typical itv tracks it will not make any sense to story's theme of age gap relationship. It can give wrong message that such relationship don't work in long run or there will always be problems, misunderstanding or trust issues in such relationship.

My view is that if makers have brought thus theme then they should not tamper with theme,they have huge responsibility. If they don't know how to take story forward without tampering with theme then they should rather pull plug on show

All her saree sequences are set in a way that attention remains on the drama and least on her looks.. 😡

Priya, sathya and Amba's clothes seem to be custom made for them keeping their body types and characters into mind. Same can't be said about Vidhi..

Pre- marriage Vidhi's costumes though very average and repetitive.. atleast had colors.. Now even makeup looks bad..

I really loved Vidhi's looks during the peak drama when HP was in ICU. She looked so pure and innocent. Fresh as a Daisy (As Tulip referred).

Asian dramas ( I only watch Japanese ..korean to some extent) span around 13 episodes.. Each episode being 45min -1 hr..sometimes there is season 2 as well.. So they don't drag on forever. Drama ends once the main plot ends and most important thing is there are never any loose ends..

My mother watches Turkish content which probably is more like indian drama which go on for a year or more minus all the unnecessary overacting..

I call it quits whenever a show starts challenging viewers' logic or common sense by showing half baked deranged stuff.. Like in Divya's case.. Before even looking at the DNA report Dev was blamed which was just silly.

Vidhi and literally everyone knows that Amba is mentally sick person looking for revenge.. Yet ...when something bad happens..every one looks clueless which is getting too repetitive.

And bringing changes to script like in Goa Arjun case...

I really hope they don't mess with this company issue and for God's sake to do some homework and not assume viewers are complete dimwits.
