Akshara was introduced as a music therapist, so she must have some kind of qualification! She even applied for jobs along that line! It's another story the writers made it out like it wasn't a qualification and something to look down on!

Even without a degree akahara isn't illiterate and she has had some form of education, hence they made her persue law! Just a shame the writers want to show her failing at everything! Without a pov of her own and why she took certain decisions 6 years ago we just have second guess everything!

When some one has responsibility of a kid they have to think about child's future. Akshu very well knew abhinav may not be able to do much and his hands are tied being educated and a mom it was her responsibility to work and plan for kids future.

Irrespective of bank job she could have took counselling to come out of her traums to start singing again. As that would have given her more money.
