I have heard BCCI is annoyed with Bangladesh and SL board, for not clearing dates for their players, as they are themselves not coming and the franchise is not able to take someone else in their place.

The thing is Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan players already mentioned during the auction they will be available only for some matches. They already mentioned they will be available for half season which makes sense why there arent much players from these countries playing in IPL.

Franchises offer the players to play the full season instead of half season even though they already know they will be playing for national team some matches. The boards deny NOC as they want their players in national team.

Now I also heard that Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan players maybe shadow-banned from next season. Personally I think it will be not ethically right to do this (would have said the same even if bd was not involved) because firstly players already mentioned their availability before auction and secondly international matches comes before franchise league even if its the IPL. It will be so bad if they ban players just cause they choose their country over franchise leagues.

Also both BCB and SLC should make it very clear about the availabilty and players wont be available for certain matches so they are also to be blamed. But I really dislike it when franchises force players to chose IPL over national team.

Unfortunately this is true. Due to ongoing international matches, he was available for some matches, but due to personal reasons he had to opt out.

Apparently there is a rumour that KKR franchise offered Bangladeshi players to step out from this season since they wont be available for some matches and they can take a foreign player instead who will be there for full season. Shakib agreed due to his good equation with the franchise hence he won’t be playing this IPL.

This is stupidity tbh. Bangladesh Cricket will suffer a lot. Shakib is a big star so he won't be affected much. But it will be bad for others because BCCI doesn't tolerate this. Alex Hales and Mitchell starc are literally unofficially banned from IPL because or them pulling out regualrly. Next year onwards no one will pick them.

When asked BCB president replied to media and fans, umeed karne se pehle, dekho toh sahi khilate hai ya nahi. 🙄honestly what BCB president said that players are anyways benched that is correct (a player like shakib gets benched) but i feel younger players should play ipl if they get the chance for more experience and learning from big names. many bd fans are mad on BCB cause of this, and today from shakib’s body language in the test match it seemed cleared he is disinterested cause of all these drama. only thing i dont like is that players have to choose between franchises and national team and it becomes a big problem if they choose national team 😢

Due to boards so much problems.

Yes for big names IPL can be a bit bad if they are not in the top 2 names they wanna have in their team.

But for youngsters it is a great place.

Whether they get a chance to play or not but being part of the squad will add on the value won't ever be a -ve effect rather always a +ve effect.
