The thing is Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan players already mentioned during the auction they will be available only for some matches. They already mentioned they will be available for half season which makes sense why there arent much players from these countries playing in IPL.Originally posted by: Palak2812

I have heard BCCI is annoyed with Bangladesh and SL board, for not clearing dates for their players, as they are themselves not coming and the franchise is not able to take someone else in their place.
Franchises offer the players to play the full season instead of half season even though they already know they will be playing for national team some matches. The boards deny NOC as they want their players in national team.
Now I also heard that Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan players maybe shadow-banned from next season. Personally I think it will be not ethically right to do this (would have said the same even if bd was not involved) because firstly players already mentioned their availability before auction and secondly international matches comes before franchise league even if its the IPL. It will be so bad if they ban players just cause they choose their country over franchise leagues.
Also both BCB and SLC should make it very clear about the availabilty and players wont be available for certain matches so they are also to be blamed. But I really dislike it when franchises force players to chose IPL over national team.
