Okay, so finally I watched the recent episode. It seems the story is going in the direction I predicted earlier.

There were lots of lines that foreshadowed it.

Aliya saying she couldn't do as much as was required to save their home, Salman telling Aghai Ji that one option to save the home is to buy the entire property by paying the people who have claims on it, Salman asking Aliya if she can do compromise in the matter of marriage - All these scenes foreshadow that there'll be a situation in which Aliya will have a choice of saving the home by paying the money, but she'll have to sacrifice her love for that. Lastly, Phuppo saying that relationships are more important than a house foreshadows that ultimately Agha Ji will realize this and will stop Aliya from doing that sacrifice.

Let's if my prediction will be true or not..

Poor asfar will be heartbroken if it goes like that. The only reason for Aaliya to even consider him will be because of his money. I hope asfar is shown to be an a**hole so that I don't feel too bad for him. 😆

Sallu will be also sad if Aaliya considers asfar as an option. He already has insecurities and abandonment issues.

Aaliya is someone who always chooses her family's needs and happiness above herself so if she unwanted plays with the feelings of both the guys we won't be able to blame her either.

Overall, I'd say that this drama had all the potential to become a big hit by attracting the masses but it could only attract a small segment of viewers because of not giving time to all the subplots in a wise way.

For instance, in today's episode, just for Deepak's admission there were five scenes.

First, when he told phuppo

Second, phuppo comes to Agha ji

Third, the entire studying sequence

Fourth, preparing him to go for the test

Fifth, the school scene

In comparison, there was one scene between Salman-Aliya, One scene between Aliya-Asfar, and one scene between Saif-Samiya. Thanvi Sb-Phuppo scene is not included again this time.

You make the drama for the public so you should respect what the public wants to some extent if you want to attract them. If you don't want it and are happy with the small segment you attract then it is okay.

The length of deepak's 5 scenes were almost same as salman-aaliya terrace talks and the entire samiya-saif-his mother scenes. The main focus of last episode was the property and salman's feel of hos loved ones leaving him. There was proper screentime given to salman and Aaliya individually and together.

Phupho-aagaji and the entire house helping him was not just a Deepak scene. After all the heated argument phupho and aagaji had they still could talk normally about other things. phupho had friction with the entire house but then all of them forgot about that and stood together to help deepak. That's a very typical siblings/family bond thing. After all the tension in the house they all got to divert their mind through Deepak. Deepak's track was not unnecessary at all.

I don't get in what way the makers did not respect the public. It's a family drama which highlights social issues and they never promoted it as anything else. There are flaws in execution and continuity since there are so many characters and storyline and there is not enough run time to compensate all the characters in a single episode. Then it runs only once a week so we feel we haven't seen a particular character for too long like Ali. That dude has been MIA for 4-5 episodes which is like a month. Thankfully he was mentioned in the last episode. But if we look at the time line he hasnt been around just for a few days which is understandable since he is Tanya's friend and cannot be always seen at her house all the time. 70% of the scenes happen inside that house so only characters that stay in that house gets more screentime. Salman also didn't had much screentime when he wasn't living in that house but now that he is involved with Aaliya's family he is getting enough screentime.

Fuchsia does a better job at reviewing KA than SH.

Hasan and Amna tends to loose track due to their fun banters sometimes.

I was also confused about the Property thing. In the initial epi they showed Agha ji gave money to his brothers but now its like he is not giving them their shares

Yup I always liked Fuschia's review more in case of Other drama too. Because they dont leave any important details. Specially the Written reviews are crisp and on point.

Hasan and Amna tends to loose track due to their fun banters sometimes.

I think aagaji only gave money to just one brother( shakeel's father) and there is another brother who is abroad. I am not sure but i think that's what happened.

Aagaji is too native and too stubborn. It's common sense to have proof of giving money for a disputed property but aagaji didn't have any proof.

Its how our life runs too. We try to get over the tension of an impending crisis by living vicariously through others happiness.

All of them and specially Agha ji and Aliya were feeling hopeless and helpless as they could not do something about the property issue. But when they got to be part of the task of sending deepak school they found a reprieve and felt useful.

I know many felt Deepak scene was unnecessary but It was necessary to show that when you are emerged in darkness a small a hope and happiness makes you get up again to fight with the darkness.

No, I never said that Deepak's scene was unnecessary. I totally get the significance of that scene. My point is just that if drama-makers want to attract the masses and make their drama hit, they should give screen time to all the subplots and characters smartly. It is simple marketing tacts to give the viewers what they're yearning for. The problem with this drama is that they can't keep a balance between subplots. One episode is majorly about Samiya's proposal, the next is about Saif's girlfriend, the next is about the maid's family, etc while the other subplots are totally ignored while doing this. A fulfilling episode is like a plate of mixed fruit chaat in which the taste is because of having a variety of fruits. If you add just one or two fruits then it won't be that tasty. If they edit an episode in such a way that it has 2-3 scenes of Aliya-Salman and Aliya-Asfar each, 1-2 scenes of Samiya-Saif and phuppo-Thanvi Sb, and 1-2 scenes of Maid's family and Saif's gf then it would be a fulfilling episode. Deepak was out of the picture in the last 2-3 episodes and in this episode, they focused majorly on him. They could have done this by adding the scene in which he says to phuppo about his wish to study and phuppo asking Agha jaan to help him in preparing for the test in one episode and then showing that he's studying and going to the test in the next. It is just smart editing to keep a character and show progress in his/her life in each episode instead of ignoring him/her in a few episodes and focusing on others.

What I got from Roshane's IV is that they want to recreate the old school pak drama feel. But they should also realise that current viewers have been exposed to linear story telling. So it will be tough for them to be patient through out the story telling of Kuch Ankahi

It's funny how Bilal and sajal were staying so sternly on how they both won't marry an actor but both were in relationships with actors at that time 😆. Atleast Bilal was. Don't know if sajal started dating ahad at that time.
