Amazingly well written Monkish! As others mentioned, I would be satisfied even if we get 20% of this behavior from Dev in the actual episodes!!

Vidhi Didi seriously needs a reality check and some cold shoulder from Dev!!!

Second Shot

I would like to apologize for this chapter. I am not used to writing long dialogues, this was difficult to write and thanks to the frustration given by the writers, I had to reign in on the characters to be true to themselves rather than let Dev go out of his character to show anger on Vidhi.

Vidhi starts crying inconsolably and falls to the ground almost hitting her head to the floor. Dev cannot handle Vidhi crying. He gets up to see Vidhi almost hit the ground, he rushes to her side, holds her and pulls her closer to himself. The words of Vidhi asking him not to touch her reverberating in his ears. He tells himself this is not the time to live in the past, Vidhi needs me. My Vidhi needs me. He lifts her and puts her in the bed. He sprays some water on Vidhi’s face and Vidhi opens her eyes, still trying to apologize to Dev.

D: shshshhhh… Vidhi.. nahi.. Rona mat… hum baad mein discuss karenge. Sort out karlenge. Tum ne kuch khaya?

Vidhi nods her head “No”. Dev shuts his eyes, Maine toh khaliya, khayal bhi nahi aaya Vidhi ko puchne ke liye ki usne khaya ki nahi

D: sorry Vidhi. I should have asked you when you served food to me and Kanika.

He gets up to get her some food to eat. Satyavathi, who is unable to sleep was in the mandir. Dev notices her and goes to her.

D: maa, aap abhi tak soyi nahi?

S: neendh nahi aa rahi hai. Vidhi kaisi hai?

D: usne Khana nahi khaya, behosh hoke girne wali thi, pakda Maine, Khana hi lene jaa raha hoon

S: ek baat kahoon Dev?

D: aise kyun puch rahi hai aap?

S: isiliye kyunki Jo baat mein karne jaa rahi Hoon woh ek pati-patni ke beech ki baat hai

Dev nods and asks her to continue.

S: dekh tujhe is waqt Vidhi pe gussa aa raha hoga, ya tujhe tumdono ke Pyar pe sawal uthraha hoga, par, Shanti se thande dimaag se kaam le. Rishton mein sabse aasan chees hai usey thodna. Tu ne abhi aur Priya ko dekha hi hai. Tujhe pata hai Vidhi aisi nahi hai jis tarah se usne baat Kiya. Sabse badi baat Amba. Shayad tera irada nahi tha chupana, tujhe lagta hai diary dene se baat khatam ho gayi, par, shayad soch, tu itne saal akela Raha, diary Teri saathi thi, ab toh tu akela nahi hai, Vidhi hai. Ussey directly share kar. Abhi Jo ho gaya woh hogaya, abhi saamne aagaya, soch tumhare bachche hone ke baad aise ilzam Lagte toh?

Dev silently listens to everything, doesn’t react.

S: bahut ho gayi aaj ke liye Mera lecture, tu ja Vidhi ko Khana khilade.

D: bas ek baat kahunga, Maine Zindagi mein akele rehne ka faisla karliya tha, Bhagwan ne humko milgaya. Jab mujhe yaad hi nahi tha kya hua, Maine chupaya yeh kaise sach maan liya maa vidhi ne? Mujhe khud uss samay pata Chala Divya ke baare mein jab usne bataya. Vidhi ne aap pe ilzam lagaya ki aap ne ussey nahi bataya, aapko pata bhi nahi toh aap kaise chupa sakte hai?

S: sawalon ka jawab mat dhund. Yeh sab abhi important nahi hai, vidhi hai important aur uski tabiyat. Ja Khana khilade aur khayal rakhna Meri bahu ka.

Vidhi silently listens to everything as she was about to come out of the room when Satya starts explaining things to Dev. She calmly goes back to the room. Starts crying. She walks into the bathroom and runs the shower and sits underneath it and continues to cry until every part of her face hurts.

Meanwhile Dev walks into the bedroom to see that Vidhi is in the bathroom. He sits and thinks over what Satyavathi spoke, but decides there are other important things he needs to handle. He calls Arjun.

A: hey Dev! How are you? How did you get my number?

D: Kanika ne diya. Sun there are a lot of issues going on here and your mom is not safe here with your dad and she wants to come and stay with you.

A: what did dad do now?

D: I think your mom should be the one to explain all of this. But the reason for my call is that your mom is flying tomorrow morning to London, I will share her itinerary, pick karlena

A: absolutely Dev. By the way , how is Mrs. Raichand?

Vidhi walks out of the bathroom. Dev points towards the food and asks her to eat.

A: Dev? Vidhi ka naam lete hi, answer nahi de rahe ho yaar aap

D: aisi koi baat nahi hai Arjun, Vidhi ka tabiyat theek nahi hai, so I was asking her to have some food.

Vidhi alarmingly looks at Dev upon hearing Arjun’s name. Dev notices this, but continues to talk to Arjun.

A: you know something?

D: mujhe pata chala, tumhare baap ne mujhpe haath uthake bataya ki Tum Vidhi se pyar karte the

A: oh wow!!

Vidhi is completely shocked, unable to comprehend what she just heard.

A: waise do you know ki mujhe kaise pata chala ki Vidhi tumse Pyar karti hai?

D: nahi

A: I was about to propose to her, when she told me that she is in love with you.

Dev has tears in his eyes listening to this and the small insecurity he had about Vidhi and Arjun, was now completely erased.

D: Arjun, thank you.

A: you are welcome. Mere friend ka acha khayal rakhna. I am happy for both of you.

D: I will.

After the call, Dev walks up to Vidhi, who stopped eating after knowing about Arjun.

V: mujhe pata nahi tha

D: mujhe pata hai

V: lekin maine toh ussey apni dil ki baat batayi thi, uski nahi suni.

D: jaanta hoon

V: aapne kabhi bataya nahi?

D: woh isiliye kyunki main thoda jalkukda types ka hoon na

Saying this he sits beside her and hugs her

D: Vidhi, Jo kuch hua bhool jao. Aage badte hai. Abhi baithke discuss karenge toh sirf ungliya untengi. I only want to love you. I don’t want to point fingers at you. It is not fair for the love we fought for. Promise me, the first person we share anything is eachother and we will not believe another person when they speak against any of us.

V: I promise

D: Chalo haath dholo, so jaate hai

V: I have to tell you few things. I know you don’t want to talk about past, but I need to tell this to you now.

D: ok. Kaho.

V: I am sorry for not trusting you when you said you didn’t remember. I just want to explain my stand once, you may not agree with it. I am not saying I am right even for a minute when I didn’t trust you, but I want you to know what I was going through.

Dev nods

V: Amba was in Goa and when you stepper to get the payal, she came and congratulates me for becoming a mother. I told myself and her as well that I don’t trust any of this because she is that sort of a person. She kept coming back to me with this rant about you having a child from 1998. Divya and I were talking and she happened to mention that she was born in 1998. I still didn’t think much about it. After my presentation at college the other day, I was very happy when I went home, I spoke about us to my mom and my mom suggested that I need to give you a gift for everything you do and have done for me and I decided that I wanted to tell you I want to start our family. I was about to call you about the same when I heard noises from inside the house, I went to check and heard Divya tell Yamini mousi that she knows that she is your daughter and I was in shock.

Dev tries to understand what she was saying.

D: wait.. you want to start a family?

V: yes, but app puri baat sunlijiye

Dev nods

V: I was in shock and I came home and I read the diary and it was very ambiguous, but in the state of mind I was in I wasn’t thinking straight. I should have spoken to you, but I was confused and I was just thinking why did you not tell me about you knowing Yamini masi. But now I know you didn’t know that she is my masi. Anyways. I wanted to tell this to you, only to make you understand that it was a huge unwarranted mistake. I should have trusted you over Amba. I am sorry.

Dev hugs her and she hugs him back.

D: Tum mere chu ne se bhag jaati ho, tumko, Tum sure how tumko bacha chahiye? Tum ko pata hai bachche ke liye kya karna hota hai?

V: kya aap bhi

D: nahi batado, kya pata theory of marginal utility ki tarah yeh bhi sikhana padega toh, mujhe bhi padhai karni hogi na

Meanwhile, abhi visits the Sharma’s.

HP: aayiye Abhimanyu ji

A: mujhe aapse kuch baat karni this

HP: kahiye na

A: Vimla ji hai, usne bhi baat karni this

HP calls Vimla.

A: woh, main aap dono se kuch puchne aaya hoon. Mujhe galat mat samajhiyega, par agar main yeh aaj clear nahi karunga toh, main chain se nahi reh paaunga

HP and Vimla worried reply in unison: puchiyena

A: situation kaise bhi tha, aap ne dekha Mera Bhai kabhi bhi aapka ya, aapki Beti ka insult nahi Kiya, hamesha maan diya, hamesha aapko ek unchi darja pe rakha, yeh aap maante hai?

HP and Vimla nod.

A: Mera Bhai ek sacha aur acha insaan hai, isiliye woh sab mein achai, aur honesty dekh paata hai. Usne kabhi bhi kisi ko dokha nahi diya, apne swardh ke liye kuch bhi nahi Kiya. Ek ladki ke maa baap hone ke wajah se aap upset the, main samaj sakta hoon. Par aap ne Jo shabd istimal kiye hai mere Bhai ke liye, woh mujhse bardasht nahi ho raha hai. Aap sab maante hai ki milapinimaata ne Bhai aur Bhabhi ka rishta joda hai, toh aap Bhai ke bare mein aise kaise keh sakte hai? Bhai koi gali mein insaan nahi hai, Aapke hi Ghar ke Damaad Hain. Main bas yahi batane aaya tha. Maaf kardijiyega agar aap ko bura laga ho toh.

He gets up and leaves.

Me aj kal episodes dekh ni rhi ha.. as i can't bear the dialogues & language they all r using for Dev.. Just k me sun bi ni sakti.. i just can't stand it.. lekin still i can guess k Sharma's ne bht hi bura bola hoga Dev k.. (adat se majbur🤦‍♀️)

I badly wanted k koi to Sharma's ko dikhaye k krte kya hain ye Dev k sath.. & that pure soul just forgive them every time.. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Waise ek baat samajh aayi, har bigdi baat ko banaya jaa sakta hai agar saamne wale ka iraada ho toh, like Dev did. similarly dil mei hope rehti hai ki makers bhi apni bigdi storyline ko theek kar lenge.. aaj nahi toh kal loopholes, faulty character traits ko correct kar lenge.. par..😪 let's see humari kismat kaisi hai.😅

I think satyavati should have a chat with Vidhi and Dev separately in the show too to help them understand how to sustain marriages that have so much thrown at them from all sides since she has the experience
