I understood you were saying this happened on their sets all the time. That’s why I responded saying that makes it a toxic work environment. This thread is a celebratory one lauding their shows. But the BTS sounds horrific to me if this was the work culture actors were creating and being subjected to. Especially women.

Deepak Qazir is such a senior actor! To think he behaved like this is appalling! He should be setting an example not indulging in petty professional jealousy. Also the management is to blame more than anyone else. Such jealousy finds voice only because TPTB actively or passively encourage it. He should have been shut down immediately to send the message that this won’t be tolerated.

KZK set especially had lot of issues. There were always constant reports of actors fainting on set due to over work. Iqbal Lhan was one of them. Even if we enjoyed the show, we need to know what went behind making them. Ekta used to be known for her temper. But she had clarified that she would understand if work wasn't done due to emergencies but she couldn't tolerate if it wasn't complete because people were partying. I remember reading one article which said one Writer was busy writing the episodes 9n his laptop from hospital, where his Mom was in ICU. ITV is extremely demanding of crews.

Doesn’t make it right. No one should have had to be in a position where they had to show their medical records. It’s an absolute invasion of privacy. They can be asked for a doctor’s note which is neutrally written revealing nothing about their condition. That should be enough. It s inhumane that she had to return to work the next day after such a harrowing experience. And the co-actor who complained was being absolutely unprofessional. A show about women by women for women and a woman gets treated like this. So ironic!
