I believe that pooja could have pulled off prachi's character with ease but niti couldn't have pulled off pihu's character as effortlessly. That said, niti is not a bad actor although she is overrated. I have seen her in kaisi yeh yaariyan and some of her other shows and yes she can act. What I don't get is why she isn't able to do so as prachi Kapoor. Could be the script or the direction, I don't know.
Pihu should have been the lead right from the get go of the leap- there's no argument about that. She was the little sweet and traumatised kid people saw grow infront of their eyes. They saw her getting her parents back together and having a short-lived happy family moment with them. They saw her go through the pain of losing both her parents on the same day, wiping the teary eyes that were a replica of her father's and shouldering the responsibility of her just-born younger sister at the young age of five years old. They understand, relate and have a connection with her. Whereas Prachi is a character nobody cared about until 5 mins before the leap happened. Is pihu the best role model? No. Is she the best sister? Maybe yes and maybe no. Was she trying her best? Yes. Other than that, the performance of this character from Pooja is great. She can carry a show on her own as evident in her nearly all her scenes in this particular show.
Raghav is a frustrating character. First, he hid his feelings from Prachi- fair enough. It's his feelings, he chooses what to do with them. Then he tried to match make her with josh who had them fooled and wrapped around his fingers. I don't blame him for being naive and thinking josh was a good guy. what I can not get over is that he mislead prachi about josh's personality and in general what he was as a person. prachi fell in love with the idea of who josh was/could be and that has led her down such a deep rabbit hole that she herself doesn't realise how toxic their relationship is. He set her up with him and has the audacity to behave like he did no wrong. After the leap, he says he is over prachi but so clearly isn't and does things like book prachi and josh that table at a restaurant which actively encourages this toxic relationship. three years later and he is still screwing her over and giving people mixed feelings. as for Randeep he really needs to slow down with the dialogue delivery and work on facial expressions.
