Meerub is the one who does not want to work on marriage (i know she has her issues to deal with).Murtasim is the one who wants this marriage to work.So maa begum told this to him instead of meerub.

Maa begum feels her son doesn't deserve to be in a marriage where he doesn't get husband rights.

If murtasim says, he wants to be in marriage, she will feel happy

If murtasim says he don't want to be in marriage, she will still be happy.

But what about meerab feelings.

She put their marriage future decision on only murtasim, didn't give the same option to meerab.
