In Pakistan its very common everyday food I guess.It has become a traditional food in modern household maybe because of the amount of calories and oil in it.In Bangladesh its not that common, its occasional.

Don't know about pakistan but in India in muslim households you can expect to get biryani twice a week.

my golgappe had gol gappe(two leaked) and inside them had some potatoes and some other vegie can't remember..and a bowl of mint sauce.. THATS IT! and i had to put the sauce(it was very watery) myself.. put it in my mouf and felt super anti climactic

Yes.. back in Karachi. There is a road side dhaba cum restaurant near liberty chowk, tariq road. They serve 'muah' gol gappas. Best ever. In fact most of their stuff is good. Dahi baray, chaat, burger, kabab roll. Best is their falooda icecream. Too good! kia yaad kara diya zaalim!
