Thanks for the reply, Maroon 😊

Yes, infinity, Aditya probably makes adhesion contracts when he launches an actor/actress (which I find understandable as it's not more than 3 movies and it could take time to establish a new actor/actress)...BUT it is not correct to say that he doesn't let the contracted actor or actress do another movie in between.

Ranveer, e.g., made two movies with YRF, then two with other producers (Lootera and Ram-Leela) before working again with YRF (Gunday)...

Anushka made her 1st movie in 2008 (RNBDJ) and both the others in 2010 (BBB and Badmash Company) and it was fine.

As Aurangzeb also was in 2013 (like Ashiqui2), I don't buy her argument that he hold her back (which I read like as if he gave her no work).

Edit: In addition, Maha, she had now a not very favourable reputation...and Adi/YRF is a well established production house.

I wonder what Kiara Advani feels like. She is an outsider who comes from a very privileged background. She had tons of connections including being family friends with Juhi.

Vicky Kaushal had a father who works in the industry. He got no work for two to three years but never lost hope. All his first films were through auditions. His story is truly one of grit and pretty inspirational.

I think it’s got more to do with how she may not feel welcomed in the close knit circles of BW, I am talking about Shraddha here. She might not have been able to gel up with these people and in the process could have missed out on some connections. Nonetheless she is in a safe space because she does come from a filmy background. That’s why she could afford to break contract with YRF because she had a comfortable cushion to fall back on. She does come across as a reserved and sweet girl as well who stays away from BW parties and such I guess. But it’s not like she doesn’t get opportunities, she does and she has starred in quite a few good films, has managed to form a niche and fan following of her own.

people underestimate how popular she is. She has a bigger fan following than Katrina, Aloo, and Deepika on social media ? I don’t think you can buy or fake that much of a following. Yet she complains.

The only thing missing from hitting superstardom was perhaps working with some top notch co-actors with the exception of Ranbir or film makers. Her not being able to give a single critically acclaimed performance is something she should take upon herself. She can very much take acting lessons here and there. There are so many resources available through workshops available online among other things. Yes, to an extent you can only improve so much when you do not have natural talent. But she clearly has not tried much. What did she do different during Haseena Parker ? Did she do any research on the actual women’s mannerisms?

I agree on the acting front. I have mentioned it a lot of times that she should be thankful that despite those mediocre acting skills she is still getting movies, that’s got a lot to do with her surname and connections as well. She hasn’t done a single memorable power packed performance till now.She is mostly known for her beauty(girl next door looks) and her dancing skills. Beauty would fade away with time but talent stays. I think even taking acting workshops won’t help her now. She just doesn’t have the knack for it. At best she is able to give a decent performance here and there when she is not being OTT with her expressions and that screechy voice, otherwise she is very annoying onscreen.

I know someone with a film making degree. He is Indian of course. He states no acting school in India knows a single thing about acting. He would rather have his actors trained from a particular acting school in NYC that teaches real method acting had how to repeat a particular scene with a powerful emotion repetitively at any given time. That is the problem he has with actors who he feels are otherwise talented. They can only give a spectacular take once or twice with immense effort but not repeat it whenever.

I think Jhanvi’s sister Khushi might have taken lessons from there. Let’s see how good or bad she is. 😆

Well to be honest she kinda is. I wouldn’t call her a struggler and yes she does have advantages. But she’s not apart of the inner Bollywood circle. Most of the Nepo kids don’t even acknowledge her existence. Her dad isn’t well respected the way others parents are. Even Chunky Pandey is being hailed now

She’s not in the Dharma gang and it’s this particular gang that is problematic. They can’t stand her actually, probably because she’s better looking than most of them.

Has she endeared herself to them ?
