In GC they showed that Paromita ( Jasleen) was actually the Singharoys' estate manager's daughter. And because Dadu (Daarji) was very friendly with him, he adopted his daughter as his own after his untimely death. So Dadu & Thammi brought up Paro as their own daughter but everyone knew that she's not a Singharoy by blood. And Manjira (Manbeer) used to poke her and keep reminding her about it at every chance she got. In GC they actually blamed Rahul's (Garry's) character a lot on Manjira's taunts towards his mother. Same for Kiara. And apparently there was another sister, Mishka, who had fallen in love with Riddhi / wanted to marry him or something and the Singharoys ousted her too. That also gave them the impression that the Singharoys consider them beneath themselves. Though I think at this point GC has completely forgotten about that sister 😆 But yeah! They had put in enough reasons for Paro & her kids to hold grudges towards the Singharoys.
Also, in GC, Paro had married a middle class guy, couldn't handle middle class life and came back to Singharoy house with her kids and probably wanted them to support her in her divorce. But nobody did. She's still shown as married woman (and very recently patched up with her husband too). Because Singharoy family is very cultural and follow old traditions by heart. So they regard Gaantchora as this pavitra bandhan that can never ever be broken. That's precisely why the lead couples never got divorced even though all the marriages happened by accident
