I've seen how sibling rivalry and seeming innocently favoring one child over other causes deep wedges in family. And there are some people like that who take every small thing very personally. There are people who, even if wronged once, they become very vengeful and never forgive.

And like the amount of resentment and hate Jasleen has for her family, there has to be some reason for that. Both og and tmd makers lost such a good opportunity😳

The thing is, if it was just about business, and ruining Angad's life as collateral damage, I would have left it there thinking ki theek hai paise ka lalach hai

But today when Manbeer said Jasleen created misunderstandings between her and Inder. And many things Manbeer overlooked for many years for family, and Jasleen doesn't consider them family. All this cannot be just greed for money. There has to be a deeper reason behind this.

Unless the makers have planned something for future (which I highly doubt, cuz 1. its ITV & 2. This PH is hopeless), the story is really lacking in this aspect

They might go the route of Jasleen not being real daughter of brars' so she might have taken everything with different perspective as outsider. Aaj they even hinted with her dialogues that I feel like outsider etc

I hadn't seen OG , so don't know ki aage reason dikhayenge ya nahi but I am highly doubtful they are capable to portray the exact feelings which make Jasleen like this.

In real life people who are grey certainly have reasons , actually not everyone who face these issues like jealousy or something become bad person , some take it as example to not follow the same path of hurting others ,some do the exact opposite like they all face the same issues in different way. But reasons are there , sometimes effecting subconsciously resulting into insecurities .

And this is the biggest issue with Itv creatives , they make someone dark character out of sudden , or even if someone is grey , they have to have some basic moral bottomline which they do not cross , but itv make people stoop so low and then will whitewash them whenever😵

This greed could have be a good reason and relatable as such greedy people do exist but alas šŸ˜”

I really hope they make more relatable here.

I agreešŸ˜†

But these small details help so much to connect with a character , even if they do not have impact on story , par kon samjhaye tv valon ko

In GC they showed that Paromita ( Jasleen) was actually the Singharoys' estate manager's daughter. And because Dadu (Daarji) was very friendly with him, he adopted his daughter as his own after his untimely death. So Dadu & Thammi brought up Paro as their own daughter but everyone knew that she's not a Singharoy by blood. And Manjira (Manbeer) used to poke her and keep reminding her about it at every chance she got. In GC they actually blamed Rahul's (Garry's) character a lot on Manjira's taunts towards his mother. Same for Kiara. And apparently there was another sister, Mishka, who had fallen in love with Riddhi / wanted to marry him or something and the Singharoys ousted her too. That also gave them the impression that the Singharoys consider them beneath themselves. Though I think at this point GC has completely forgotten about that sister šŸ˜† But yeah! They had put in enough reasons for Paro & her kids to hold grudges towards the Singharoys.

Also, in GC, Paro had married a middle class guy, couldn't handle middle class life and came back to Singharoy house with her kids and probably wanted them to support her in her divorce. But nobody did. She's still shown as married woman (and very recently patched up with her husband too). Because Singharoy family is very cultural and follow old traditions by heart. So they regard Gaantchora as this pavitra bandhan that can never ever be broken. That's precisely why the lead couples never got divorced even though all the marriages happened by accident

This make sense. But in TMD twice Manbir said Jassi as Angad’s sahi bua. So we can assume that no one except Dadaji & Bebe knows Jassi as an adoptive daughter. Jassi too don’t know I guess because she himself said may times my own father never trusted me or supported me. As per Jassi she has looked everything and married so she didn’t marry a middle class guy for sure.

Yes I too feel something more is there. But as u said itv can’t expect them to think logically. What she said that she felt hurt when no one asked how is she when her divorce procedure was going on. People around her pressurised her not to break her marriage despite not realising what she had gone through with her husband (what happened with her husband still unknown) she didn’t get a chance to get involved in business. At that point Prabhjyot too supported Jassi. Jassi di might utter hurtful words but what she use to say is not wrong. So I feel even Prabhjyot was a bit miffed with the fact she being a daughter didn’t get a chance to involve in business or on that fact she couldn’t be an independent women because of the traditional way of thinking of her parents

Yeah. I feel like TMD is going to continue Jassi as a real Brar woman. But then what is her her motive? 🧐

By the way in GC also only the older people knew about this secret. Manjira revealed it in front of everyone when she slapped Paro after Khori tells that she was the one behind the Bride swap. Sabke hosh udh gaye the sunke.

But then, how come Mishka wanted to marry Riddhiman? If she did not know that her mother was adopted, she must have been considering Riddhi her real cousin? How can she fall in love with him then? 🧐 This I never understood. Maybe that's why GC also didn't show it and just mentioned in a passing comment.

Here I think if they come up with Jassi being an adoptive daughter then only Dadaji and Bebe knows it. I think Jassi is irritated with the fact that she was not allowed to work in there family business and in house she didn’t have any strong voice because of Manbir who as the eldest bahu took care of everything

ITV doesn't have concept of gray. They either have the plain white, too sweet, adarsh, sanskari (read sari wearing) duaghters or bahus and ekdum modern, takatak vamps who just want to destroy the leads. No middle ground
