He picked some movies that didn’t work, and then took unnecessary breaks and people forgot about him. I feel like he disappeared and didn’t sign anything for a while after Dawes-E-Ishq flopped, and the same after Fitoor.
That being said, wasn’t Malang a success? And Night Manager seems like a success too. But his PR isn’t focusing on that. These days he’s in the news more over his alleged link up with Ananya.

He needs to improve his acting skills and he's kind of bland. In Kalank he was the weakest link. Sonakshi, Alia and Varun acted rings around him while he just stood around looking pretty.
He showed immense acting potential in Aashiqi 2. In fact every critic praised him as the acting talent and Shraddha as the pretty face at the time. Kalank he just got a terrible role. He should not have done it period.
