I didn't watch ishqelaa but i guess sajal was a journalist. I dropped sabaat in the initial episodes itself but did mawra continue to work after marriage because she wanted to or because she had to? I saw the last 2 episodes and she quit her corporate job because of a guy she works with.
I guess being doctor is an exception in pak dramas. I guess it's because it's considered to be a divine professional and female doctors are mostly prefered for female patients. So female doctors are necessary.
Udaari also had urwa's character Meera becoming a professional singer and elevating her family status single handedly.
But the examples are far and few.
