They have collectively destroyed V so much and Sairat so much that chemistry alone is insufficient now. In the last 3-4 episodes NB has been giving good performance - as a drunk man and in the emotional scenes too - as a performance its good but as viewer I dont feel bad for him at all. Not do i understand his pov. Cannot connect with his empty promises or declarations of love, pain etc etc. He claims he only wants Sai, he feels incomplete etc etc but we have not seen that angst at all. He looked perfectly content in life with P. He claims he never forgot Sai. but we never saw any evidence of that in his behavior. I as audience will not melt and go gaga over a Sairat scene anymore like before because I no longer want Sairat together as a couple. As parents, they can exist in each others life cordially but Sairat as a couple is dead. The love isnt dead. but there is no meaning of love without respect, trust. Sai will never love anyone else because she is very traditional and idealistic like that. She will never be able to see anyone else as husband or lover. For her, pyaar sirf ek baar hota hai and she genuinely loves V even when he is unworthy of it. And she will never trust anyone else again to ever love again. And definitely Sai can never trust V again. He is the man who didnt even place her first as a mother. He picked P as mother. A hypothetical fear of P going berserk made him hide the truth of Vinu but he had the audacity to tell Sai that she was a bad mother who kept Savi from him and who has never done anything for Vinu either. He tagged her as bad mother to both kids several times and then gives a lame apology when he is forced to eat his words when Sai saves the day or he realizes Sai never did anything wrong. But he said those words willingly of his own volition each time accusing Sai of being a bad person, a bad mother. In contrast Sai never accused him of being a bad father even though he is useless- what has he really done for Vinu and Savi to be called a good dad?! he adopted Vinu but thats it. That also was for his own selfish reasons, not for Vinu;s sake. Sai even told UM and sahiba also that V jaise bhi ho, he genuinely loves the children and wouldnt hurt them and she felt that V must also be missing Vinu etc till truth came out. So she always gave him benefit of doubt and respected him as a father even if not as a husband. She always recalled the things he did for her- education wise, giving her shelter and therefore had gratitude and no ill will despite all her heartache. She had every reason to curse him but she didnt. She never let kids know about her pain. She just swallows it all and keeps her smile intact, her head high. But V says Sai is bitter like karela. What about himself? What about his bitterness, his disgust for Sai.
Its hard to swallow this sudden love for Sai when for so many days he showed disgust and hate in his expressions. He never showed pain, longing, angst. He used to look at sai with disgust. With scorn. With hate and anger.
Sairat werent just about how much intimacy or screen time they got or them looking good together, it was about a beautifully evolving relationship of 2 people who came together by fate but realized they were soulmates who were each others best friends, sounding board, balacing factor and also lovers who were physically attracted only to each other. But they ruined that with the way they wrote/directed Shruti kaand and since then Sairat essence has been lost. Love confession, remarriage brought back hope but it died quickly seeing Vs behavior towards Sai during the JM return and post sam death. Even when JM had trapped sai in negligence case, V was more focused on his ego rather than Sais comfort. He allowed her to stay in jail for a full day before she got bail. He was irresponsible and got himself in trouble instead of proving Sai's innocence. Sai saved the day even then. And Sam's death time he didnt take a stand for Sai. HE allowed her to get slapped and blamed. And then left her alone during miscarriage. After that throughout Surrogacy and P kaand revelation, no matter what Sairat scene happened, it lacked a connect, it lacked genuine warmth from Vs side. He was only making empty promises each time. and that continues to date.
