Tieing the thaali inside temple are rare nowadays. It's mostly inside the auditorium nowadays. There are people that want to do it inside their kudumbashktrem and some wants to do it in famous temples like guruvayoor or artikal but most people nowadays book an auditorium. It's hard to have videographers and cameramen inside the temples esp big ones.
Most of the weddings In my family took place in local temples sure the culture is dying slowly but nothing can replace the traditional kalyanum in my area ppl usually get married in the temples and have reception outside in some auditorium
It sad that we are adding too much northern/ punjabi flavour in our weddings even the traditional food served with hands are rare nowadays, in urban area ppl usually go with buffets
