Watching Katha epis in real time is a different experience now😆.....you realize more how much the makers really take their time through everything.

Today we got Viaan ka awkward turn and elevator moment they've been showing in the preview since two days.....but what actually stood out more in the epi were the SILENCES and the unsaid.
I feel you described it so aptly, “ SILENCES AND THE UNSAID.” This for me is the show in a nutshell. There is so much implied rather than said, so much depth in the silences and glances.
Viaan noticed in the elevator also that Katha looked upset so he pulled back from his attempts to tell her and asked her what was bothering her....but she kept saying she was fine and just told him she will talk to him later.....he was left murmuring to himself that he will wait.
There is something very adorable in Viaan:) His attempts to talk to her😆.
And wait he did indeed😆.....he waited till late in the office and looked dejected ki shaayad ab nahin aayegi....but tabhi Katha came back😆. Uske baad again he was trying to work up the courage to talk to her but then he noticed that she looked stressed toh he totally switched gears into that quiet coaxing sa zone he has where he tells her he is here if she wants to talk about whatever is on her mind.....Katha again tries to deflect for a bit and asks him what he wanted to ask her....and then he just gives her this long look and says ki koi khaas baat nahin thi😆....pure din ki bhaag daud and intezaar ke baad he ultimately decided against telling her - because he could see she had something else on her mind upsetting her. And he just sat there, waiting for when she would want to talk.....finally she did open up and without even taking Neerja's name, talked about how parents feel so hurt when their kids are callous to them.....Viaan understood who she was talking about and recalled how he first met Neerja. And then he simply asked if there was anything he could help her with - and she kept bringing the focus back to pending work so he asked that she go home and complete the rest there..
I loved this scene today! I don’t know how to say this but the pacing, as in they do not rush into the scenes with loud music or over explaining. Viaan came to talk to her, but the moment she turned and he sees her, he says pareshaan lag rahi hai? Then he simply waits for her to gather herself, gives her that time to open up herself without pressurizing her and ofcourse it works. I love how he only suggests that he is there if she needs ( as in when she is ready) and not insist on fixing things for her.
The kind of person Katha is , this is the only way she will share her feelings and her pareshaani. We have seen Ehsaans attempts at that and getting told off everytime 😆
The way they showed him connecting the dots as to who Neerjaji is was done so nicely . I was so sure that he is going to offer her a ride but this show always manages to stay away from cliche. 😆
The best part of this scene was that he just sat there and listened....she opened up to him on her own ultimately because he just sat there patiently and didn't let her retreat into deflection - just let her get her emotions for Neerja out without interrupting her thought process in anyway.... And that's the beauty of the show.....they are able to execute the whole show, don't tell aspect of good storytelling.

Even in yesterday's epi, in the aftermath of Viaan realizing his love - we aren't shown some grand internal monologue in his head ki yes, I must go and tell Katha what I feel.....instead we are shown his state of mind through his convos with different characters. The way he has a soft smile on his face when his mom is asking him ki tumne koi dhund li hai ab kya? Then the way he looks sad when his mom is doing her drama ki you can't marry someone whom I don't like, then him looking thoughtful again when his mom is like dil mein jo bhi baat ho bol deni chahiye.....lol we aren't even told at any point that Viaan is considering marrying Katha or going and telling her what he feels - it's all just coming through from his expressions only and these indirect convos.
When you put it like this I realize that indeed he has not verbalized his feelings in words but its like we know exactly whats going on in his mind.
Today's epi ended on that feel ki Viaan is realizing there is so much going on in Katha's life that his need to tell her how he feels seems pretty small in front of all that😆.
I did like that surprise gift from Katha, again its not about how expensive a gift is but how valuable it is. To show that Neerjaji is indeed a part of her family now. She did the same when Aarav went to Adis house for the first time he gave a hand made Ganesha and not to forget the invaluable Robin picture:)
