I don’t think he was being rude or uncaring .. he cared and he came in hearing him cough and was going to get water when muskaan came in and he was just being strict or trying to scare him so he will take the medicine and not fuss .. I thought they were trying to show Abheer breaking through that mask of indifference that Kairav is donning and slowly starting the bonding with mamu..
But this is not the first time he's done this. Even when Abhir hugged him he kind of brushed him off rudely. And the kid was clearly hurt and disappointed after he got scolded by Kairav. If it was Ruhi in Abhir's place, I'm sure he would have made her eat the meds with a lot of love.

i am not sure but i heard arohi saying why kairav never came to meet ruhi i felt his behaviour is same towards both the kids. May be he kept distance as he don't want to be biased. I have not watched that other scene that you mentioned but tbh i felt they took uturn in kairavs character. He was coward before karan taking up the role.
