Murtasim was referring to Adam and Hawwaa (Adam and Eve) where of course as you know in Abrahamic religions it is believed that Man was made first with Adam being the first and then woman was made from man as Eve was made from the rib of Adam, and it is believed that god made both man and woman to complete each other and serve a purpose in each other's life.

Regret can't take back what already happened. Regardless of how Meerub was acting (callously given her situation then), Murtasim should have never slapped her. It is, in fact, haram (unlawful) to hit someone on the face in Islam, especially a woman. I am glad he repented afterwards, but that should never have happened in the first place.

Most of all the way he has stood against his mother for meerab after marriage shows he is not a mindlessly toxic male character who will give his mother a free-pass for mistreating his wife just because he loves his mother. This is the problem with so many male lead's on both ITV and PTV that they do not properly call out their mother's for misbehaving with their wives and they do not try and create a balance between respecting their wife and respecting their mother and trying to get both his wife and mother to respect each other too. Murtasim in this sense is different that he does not give his mother a free pass for misbehaving with his wife just because she's his mother and tries to maintain that balance. Abhi has failed in doing what murtasim has been doing after marriage.

There is no denying how wrong she is, but girl, no one can "use" you unless you allow them. It's Abhimanyu who is allowing her to manipulate him.

Won't talk much abt the slap, it was unnecessary and these shows r not meant for the global audience . Patriarchy is deep rooted in our cultures. In india we r moving towards a change but still not there and paki is far behind us. Yeah he slapped her..but I believe what we see on itv is nothing better...emotional abuse , aggression , plotting planning..nothing is normal on itv as well...I like the way he talks to his mom for his wife but at the same time I Hate it that he's not able to keep his creepy cousin at bay ....as a husband he is doing fine though....but this guy murtu , just like abhimanyu , is so volatile that he can't be trusted ..

Frankly there r very few examples of men taking a stand for their wives against their moms, mammas boy I am talking about ..I need to think really hard to look for examples in bollywood coz itv mei aisa koi ma hoga..may be asr for a short while when he was about to marry khushi ..but then again he hurt her so many times that uska example toh nai Banta..

Like in bahubali , this guy stood up for what's right , and not what his mom wished na his own emotions..jo galat hai wo galat hai, one needs courage to speak the truth.

Whether it's tere bin or its ipk, men need to have a certain authority in his family and workplace to have an upper hand ..our patriarchy system and joint family system is fundamentally flawed..till the time girls and boys learn to live indepdently away from the shadow of their parents , this won't change .

When I watch Korean shows , itv and paki shows appear to be from dark ages ..the recent one I saw , this guy had a 2 trillion won company and the girl he chose to marry was one of his employees ..he had to move to the States for his grandfather's treatment n he asks her to move with him telling her that her job won't be affected as their company has a provision to send their workers for research overseas...I was shocked and surprised at the same time to hear it ..I mean he never said why are you working , I am a f loaded guy with trillions in my bank account , and I love you, just come with me...he respected her job ,woh bhi in his own company

Yep..this is so stupid to blame Akshra for everything.I bet when Abhi came to know about Abhir, they will blame on Akshra that she ran away and all. I’m so damn frustrated and I don’t understand why show us that girl endure everything and won’t say a thing. I just don’t want Akshra to stand and just endure the anger of others when they will know of Abhir. I wish the show maker make her fight for herself and blurt out everything, her suffering, pain, angry, her anguish otherwise it will be all plain same old drama.

No you are right that is pretty much what he said. The adam and hawwa reference means that both man and woman are not complete without the other.

Yep it was so out of character for him to slap her before they married given how he has been so respectful and patient with her after that. It now feels very very randomly inserted and this has been such a big complaint of all fans of the show that makes no sense.
