They clearly did that to give footage to behaya.
Anwar and wakas don't have any reason not to visit murtu in the hospital or atleast when he arrived home. They are not even trying to clear the misunderstanding and is ready to take meerab back to karachi.
These people ruined meerab's life to get her married to murtu and now they won't even lift their pinky finger to make her marriage work. If they cared so much about meerab's happiness why did they even force her to marry murtu? Didn't they already know how maa begum is and how meerab is? Wakar and anila on regular basis keep telling they brought her up as strong headed and she is not the type to keep quite when she sees injustice but they forced her to marry into a household that don't let women talk properly except behaya. She can blabber anything and get away with it.
Maa begum was also hell bend on getting these two married because it's her marhoom shauhar's wish and because meerab owns half the property. These two things are still relevant but now she cares more about her son's happiness. She knows meerab since birth and she has always been like this. Didn't she know a girl like meerab is not suited for her sher puttar and her izzatdar gharana. Meerab is way too modern for that household.
All of their wishes and desires were relevant till murtu and meerab got married but now none of the 3 cares if these two stay married or not. Now they care about the individual happiness and safety of meerab and murtu.
What were they doing when both murtu and meerab didnt want to get married?
