He was fabulous in Parinda, Ram Lakhan, Kaash etc. He is best in intense roles. He has a great voice and voice modulation. It is a shame he is hardly talked of as an actor and only mentioned for his rugged manly sex appeal or bhidu type language.

Jackie Shroff is a fabulous actor. But he needs a good director at his back to bring out his strengths.Parinda(Vidhu Vinod Chopra), Gardish (Priyadarshan), Kaash (Mahesh Bhatt). Problem is more directors are fine with him being a star and he acted in a lot of B films when he faced financial crisis.He was wonderful in Criminal Justice Season 1 on Hotstar where he plays a kingpin in jail who mentors Vikrant Massey along with the latter's lawyer Pankaj Tripathi. So nice to see him as the Devil on Vikrant's shoulder while Pankaj is the Angel. Both of them wanting the best of him but in different ways.

Jackie wasted himself in crap films in 90s and 2000s and also ruined his health and looks. He began to bald too soon. Had a receding hairline too soon. Began to look more mature and got stuck in bade bhaiya roles forever.

Agreed he needs a good director to bring out his best parts as an actor.

DDLJ is not fresh. It copied scenes from MPK, HAHK and some stuff from QSQT. Added dash of foreign locations to look different. The wedding rituals and sangeet scenes are copied from MPK, HAHK and antakshri confession scene is copied from MPK. DDLJ is a copy paste film.

agree, but atleast the nri element was new, which was then milked dry by kjo who doesnt even have one new element to his credit

aditya chopra is a one movie wonder, i guess he is smart enough to realise it and stopped directing

any day mansoor khan and sooraj can be given credit for changing the tide, since they both are low profile, chopra-johar get all the credit
