Devil's backstory they have not shown clearly.Only a part for few minutes they showed Devil/Bhargavi is holding a ghungroo in one hand.I think she was a dancer.She has tears of anger in her eyes.She says talking to herself in dark room she cannot forget what her brother has done to her 25 yrs ago to her.She has suffered a lot.Now she wants to avenge her anger by killing her brother CS/Chandrashekhar.Right now her daughter Mili who was Shweta's PA staying away from coz she is hiding her true identity.In one of the epi it was shown that Mili's real name is different.Devil says time will come when she will reveal her identity to the whole world.

Nothing.Actually Maurya was in jail because of CS.He had told police to keep Maurya captured till Nakshatra & Bhupathi get married.After their marriage.Maurya escapes from jail and wants to take revenge frm CS.He kidnaps both of them with the help of one of his brothers.Devil kidnaps Maurya becoz she only has rights to kill her brother no one else.Maurya is nothing in front of her.
Maurya changed as he overhears Nakshatra and CS.He comes to know that Nakshatra is a good person and advises Shweta to stop the wrong doings.
Maurya was very intelligent son.His mother Shakunthala devi has her own certain rules/regulations and she follows the rules and she sees to it that everybody follows it.And she never forgives those who violates the rules be it her own son.His son has broken so many rules and went to jail.She couldn't believe that her son was a criminal.So her mother and brothers are not accepting him and not taking his name even.one more question
