The only thing that I watched and was worth watching today (for me) was the nightmare (dream) Akshara had about her Tilak ceremony and the fire truth coming out.
It is the echo of the 'KYUN' that stands out for me today. Like many of us have predicted, Abhimanyu would question Akshara, in his remorse and torment, exactly the way he asked for the fire truth.. asking 'KYUN'. It is such a nice foreshadowing to what is about to come. It is the 'KYUN' that Akshara fears. She has the answers, all logical ones, to not have allowed Abhi's presence in their son's lives. Self- preservation, son preservation. Pride. Respect. Blah Blah Blue Blue. All logical ones, yes. But logic has never worked on Abhi. Her love was illogical, her self deprecation for Abhi was illogical. That's the thing. All logic fails when it is Abhi. When it is them.
It is the echo of the Kyu that jolts her awake from her nightmare of a life in Kasauli, listless and lifeless. It is the 'KYUN' that she fears she would have no answer to when Abhir questions it. He is Abhi's son after all. It is everywhere in Udaipur. The room asks her Kyun she had to leave her comfort. Kairav asks her Kyun she never asked her brother for help. It is Manjari and Arohi who ask Kyun she came back. It is Abhi. Oh, it is ABHI! He asks Kyun she gave up singing. It is Akshara, who asks Kyun Abhi doesn't have a soul relation with Mahadev anymore. It is Abhir asking Kyun Mom makes jam. It is Muskaan asking Kyun Bhabi suffers like that. It is Abhinav asking Kyun blood bonded people (Abhi and Abhir) don't know about each other.
In Kasauli, it was the HOW that she had to take care of. HOW she would protect herself and her child from the Birlas. HOW she would survive these measly conditions that she has chosen for herself. HOW to make ends meet in a middle class family. HOW to give Abhir the best life possible. HOW to keep Abhir away from Docman. HOW to ensure constantly that Abhinav is reminded of his bond with Abhir.
It is the survival instinct that asks HOW. It is the soul that asks KYUN. The soul demands answers you shy away from, don't admit to yourself.
So, to answer KYUN? Because it's AbhiRa. It has always been them. That idea that Akshara can't breathe in the vicinity of Abhi is laughable. She had a panic attack because she thought he might have been hurt. It is her heart beating after several years. It is bound to show some nakhra for having been ignored for so long.
KYUN fills the soul of the shell that Akshara is now. It fills her up until she can't breathe. It fills her up with a melody she longs to play on her guitar. It is the need to catch Abhi on her bike after years, searching for the lost self, lost heart because she is in Udaipur. Udaipur is Abhi. Her heart lurches in her body because she is dying to answer to the call of the KYUN if only her Abhi asks.
