Looks like Shehzada will be a flop. Whoever watched it in my circle did not like it especially compared to the og. In hindi Bantu’s mother’s role is cut so Deba has extended role. But the emotional connect that was there in og is missing here. This was the review from friends. They said she was ok nothing extraordinary. But again they saw her first time. So it might just be the role they were not impressed

I feel those who watched the OG won't like it...bcoz I heard mixed reviews on SM who have watched the OG one.The public reviews which appeared on YT .. .fans said it's entertaining. Moreover there is a lot of controversy going on as it is a copy paste one. It's good that Deba had a extended role....and here we were thinking that she might have a blink and miss kind of screen space. I heard a review where it said that even Kirti didn't have much to play....toh from that point if Deba had an extended part.....then I would say it is good!! Waise bhi Pathan ka toofan aabhi tak subside hua nahi.... toh it is evident that the film will be affected.

The problem with Shehzada is , OG story itself bekar old 70-80's story where kid gets swapped at birth, but in OG it worked because songs are really good, they are very catchy, and Allu Arjun is a very good dancer, he is Hrithik Roshan level dancer so the songs were very appealing to watch and also they were picturized very nicely but Karthik Aryan is just like an over hyped Salman khan, his dance steps are on par with SK or may be little above that's it and the songs/lyrics/picturization are all average or below average so not appealing. The biggest plus point in OG is not utilized properly.

Next comes Kriti she is beautiful but don't have the sex appeal as Pooja Hegde so I am sure she was just ok. Next comes director, he just copy pasted the scenes , instead he should have just take story and made his own film. Saw some comparison scenes between OG and this movie, u definitely don't feel like watching the film after seeing comparisons.

Coming to Deba's character she might have got little extra SS as the scenes from both characters from OG were given to her, which is good but since those scenes are not important to the movie itself and they don't have anything special to portray , and its not even a comedy character so Deba couldn't portray her comic timing also so its hard for anyone to like her character.

Heard Kriti's character is for 30 min in the whole movie including songs itself, even in OG Pooja might be in the same amount of time or may be little more but since the songs were soooooo beautiful and she was looking very good in them u don't even feel the heroine missing.

And then Pataan fever might have captured some thunder.

I agree the songs which were released are not catchy .I was literally surprised that the songs came from Pritam's stable.His songs are mostly catchy and feel like humming.And about Deba's ....well the snippets which was posted on TT....I liked her expressions and the acting.Dekho....to get noticed u need some substantial or damdar scenes which will contribute or have impact on the story or the main leads.But looking at the snippets and hearing about the story it looks like that Deba was just a sister whose role is not substantial.So,it's difficult to make impact on viewers.

When they announced Shehzada movie last year I was actually surprised because the story is not good but it is the taking that really worked for the OG movie, and then the hindi dubbed version of the OG already came in youtube .. OG songs became so much hit that people from other countries like Japan, Australia made reels and also remember Deba'a story from SAAKK days all the girls were listening to this movie songs only. The songs were super hit and Allu Arjun swag and charisma created another level hype. these are the only 2 good things from the movie, we all ridiculed when they got Tabu and another big artist from Malyalam to play as real parents of AA character because there is nothing there for them to perform. 😆

Songs is a big disappointment for Shehzada and Karthik is no way matching to OG actor, Paresh Rawal character would be good as he is good actor and that character has substance to perform but the artist from OG did better than Paresh Rawal (I saw some clips from Youtube) and rest all of the characters are nothing much to be talked about they are all there to fill the scene nothing great for any character to perform.
