It's a good length at the leg-stump line, luring Rohit forward with a lunge to defend. The ball ballooned off the pads before being sharply pouched by the fielder at short leg. Replays and the Indian captain's reaction suggest he's got no bat on it. UltraEdge confirms those doubts! The umpire also want to check if the ball popped up onto the gloves, it didn't. Usman Khawaja: It was pretty challenging. There was something out there against the lefties' off-stump. With bowlers of the quality of Ashwin and Jadeja, it's always tough work. The game plan was the same. We batted a little bit longer today, been nice. The game plan is steady for me and I'm always looking to score runs whether it's in the subcontinent or on in Australia. I do like the conventional sweep too. They cut off a few areas with long-off dropping back, and it's tough to play straight against the turn, so the sweep and the reverse sweep are fun. I do enjoy it, it's a lot of fun. He (Handscomb) batted really well. Right-handers get the good stuff. There's a reason why India have produced a lot of great right-handers. The left-handers have to be a lot more flamboyant. He (Handscomb) has a great front-foot defense and people don't realize that. (Top soil loosening up?) I hope so. You don't really know. You get 260 today but you don't know what a par score is until the other team bats. There were a few cracks. I've only played in Delhi back in 2013 and that was an about 200 game. We'll see how this one goes.
