I hope that the home cooks up the ante now and we get more such challenges where most of them make good dishes. The challenges where only 1 or 2 people make great dishes is boring.

We use tamarind in dal and curry to give it a khatta taste.
I’m sure it can be used in some vegetable gravy dishes - just omit tomato’s or add lesser

We also use it in curries..liked the way Nayan used it to coat the chicken..so looking for substitute of that.
In South India its said jackfruit curry tastes like chicken curry..anyone tried

I have. While not exactly like chicken, it does have a meaty texture, so you don’t miss the meat

Exactly and Nayanjyoti family seems to be established in financial coz he said in his house everyone has fridge in their room and one in kitchen and his is the big one. I don’t know how many people are in his family but bhai sabke pass fridge hona choti baat nai hai atleast for me.
Just read that the judges let Aruna swap fish for paneer! Not fair!!! They should do the same for everyone, let them swap ingredients.
Gurkirat is vegetarian too, Priya was vegan but they weren’t given such liberties.
Even a few seasons ago, there was a Sikh guy who was vegetarian but he got no such benefits.
