Can someone tell me the time when channel upload ep 2 on YouTube?

- There are dramas in which you like the main lead, but dislike/tolerate the side characters.

- There are dramas in which you like side characters as much as you like the main lead.

- There are dramas in which you like the side characters more than the main lead.

Right now, for me, Yunhi belongs to the 3rd group. As yet, Bilal hasn't got much screen time so I can't say anything about him. However, Maya seems to be the weakest part of the first two episodes. I kind of feel bad for Maya because the same thing happened to her in PSM. I loved her in Man Mayal, but in PSM, all the other characters were better than her. Here too, I'm loving Maha Hassan as Suraiya, Khaqan Shahnawaz as Daniyal, Tazeen Hussain as Iqbal Phuppo, and Deepak Parwani as Naveed. Even the elders' conversations are interesting to watch as everything seems so natural and unaffected. However, when Maya comes on screen, she seems so tensed, uncomfortable, and out of place.. perhaps it is her character and this is exactly how she should appear in accordance with her character.. yet, I haven't enjoyed any of her scenes with the exception of the very last scene of the episode.. I liked her in some scenes from the OST so I hope my views about her will be changed in the coming episodes and the show will fall in the 2nd group..

Overall, I like the treatment of the show.. somehow, it has some soothing effect and I like to watch it in one go, without skipping parts or switching between opened browser windows..

Kim’s father is still apologizing to people in the house for not marrying khursheed. Kim is given dawood’s room because of the bathroom situation, this upsets dawood’s mother who already doesn’t want them in the house . But dawood’s father says not to take their angry on the father out on Kim.

Kim is taught proper Pakistani etiquette by surraya after she calls the aunt razia (dawood’s mother ) by her first name .

another aunt (firdaus) comes over upset that Kim’s father is staying in the house . She calls naveed her sister’s murderer and says she won’t come over as long as his there . She claims the father doesn’t care about his daughters . One is dead , one is divorced ( Iqbal) living at home and he pushed her into marrying an idiot . Kim walks in while she’s talking bad about her dad

kim’s father ( naveed) is meanwhile walking around catching up with old friends

Kim vents to aunt Iqbal and surraya about aunt firdaus’s behavior, calls her ill mannered . Surraya says not to talk about elders in such a manner. Kim says does firdaus knows that because she was talking bad about her dad and the uncle . Iqbal says she can teach her manners next time she comes over.

Firdaus’s husband says the uncle didn’t forgive naveed for no reason, since Kim is an American national he’ll probably try to get her and Dawood or daniyal married.

Dawood lays on his bed , Kim also comes in and lays down , they both get up startled facing each other . The episode ends

I had given up on Pakistani dramas, but decided to give this a go to see what all the drama is about with Maya/Bilal and GL/SH. Here’s my honest opinion:

1. The production, direction and script are above the standard quality for Pakistani dramas, which is good. So far, the script isn’t unnecessarily dramatic, the pacing isn’t excessively slow and the characters aren’t two dimensional. So the show has managed to avoid these common pitfalls (so far). Having said that, the subject matter itself is nothing new. It’s the same tired story of forced cousin marriages going wrong and the resulting fall-out.

2. ‘Kim’ is an annoying and hyper-unrealistic character. American/British-Pakistanis do not speak perfect Urdu like Maya does in this drama. I’ll try not going into a rant but overall I’m sorry Maya’s character here is stupid, the writers have her behaving like an unintelligent five year old. For instance, an adult America-Pakistani/British-Pakistani does not behave like a scared idiot when they see someone in traditional clothing. Even white people don’t behave the way Kim did when she saw Dawoud.

Yeah Kim is unrealistic as a Pakistani American character. She can read and write Urdu and speak it fluently but she is unfamiliar with her culture? With traditional clothing? Makes no sense.

I wish this episode offered more interesting things , Those aunts .. why there are many of them 😕. I want to see how young ppl interact with eachother. Well. I may just watch the leads' scenes.

It's a huge ensemble cast. Leads ky scenes kaam hi milein gaye starting ki episodes main. Family bhot badi hai aur har family member ko screen space mil rahi thi

It doesn’t make sense that on one hand they’re trying to make it seem like Kim is aware of Pakistani culture but then not enough to know the dress culture or the family situation. If she knows how to read and write Urdu surely she must’ve read about the cultural norms when it comes to greetings and dress code . I feel like they should’ve just made her a non Urdu speaker who knows nothing about the country instead of half assing it.

I am really confused.. what part of US did Kim come from for her antics..

firstly there are so many Pakistani people in US and she goes to Pakistan and gets scared at ethnic wear? is she from some red state small town?

toilet drama i get..

but calling her aunt by her first name and then being unnecessarily rude is just weird.. reminds me of those unrealistic Indian movies from 20 years ago where everything foreign is bad .. the the foreign raised children who at the end embrace the Indian life

You know I get bored of ensamble cast , specially elders.😆 One reason I find Kuch Ankahi boring is the ensamble cast. I only want to watch the romance between leads.😳
