again it’s Hindi ,…not Hindu, it’s language and cultural and not religion. Culture is wide spread and hence language is used to spread it, religion isn’t. So for example, when my Muslim friend in India hits her head and says Hai Ram mai exam mei yeh likhna bhul gayi! or a Hindu friend hits her head and hai rabba Mujhe yeh karna chahiye thaa or some such…it’s cultural and not practicing those religions by saying those words.
the example of Sati is not Hindu (religion) it’s cultural - in the Hindi speaking belt where the practice of sati existed and hence the word was attached to women who are highly pati vrata. Savitri is a godess most Hindu women pray to and the word sati savitri is used like a moniker. Sati is not practiced or was never practiced by hindus in south of india,
Sorry yeh lamba ho gaya…but you know what I mean,
Wasn't Sati Bhagwan Shiv's wife and she was regarded as one of the most pativrata women in hindu mythology so I dont understand how is it not a hindu concept
Religion is often inspired by the culture of the place where it originated from
Hinduism originated in ancient India so of course there will be some overlapping between religious concepts and cultural practices
Communities existed with their own folktales and traditions before hinduism
Hinduism is a vast religion so who are you to decide whats hindu and whats not
Its not like you have read all the vedas and granth
Please dont mix up everything with "culture"
By that logic People in bihar dont celebrate ganesh chaturthi so is ganesh chaturthi not a hindu festival now and merely a maharashtrian culture festival
