But interestingly India has changed laws requiring a dad’s name in recording live birth documents. That is, you can leave that blank.
Also a biological father need not be named in the BC if he chooses not to a part of the mom/baby’s life. And a person willing to be a dad and shoulder the legal responsibility of a father can be named under “father”.
