Ahh so true Raji. Shammi reminds me of that dialogue from ‘Hum hain rahi pyar ke’ in which an irate Juhi tells the character her father wishes her to marry- Tum hile bagair baat nahi kar sakte kya? 😆

Only this is Shammi - so all his transgressions are forgiven! (By me at least 😆). You’re also right about the eye candy (Kashmir’s glorious scenery the foremost). My aunt and I still joke that beauteous though Sharmila maybe, the jheel si neeli aankhen definitely must allude to Shammi! ☺️😆

KKK does have so many songs picturized on different modes of transport! It’s amazing 😲⭐️

Kisi na kisi se on a car

Subhan Allah on a truck

And ofc Ye chand sa roshan and Deewana hua baadal on the boat/ shikara!

I am a silent spectator and usually listen to what you post.

Here is one of the famous boat songs.

Kashmir ki Kali, 1964: Shammi Kapoor must hold some record for having had most songs filmed while on some mode of transport—Kashmir ki Kali itself has a bunch of them. This one’s on a shikara on the Dal Lake, with a demure (and increasingly distressed) Sharmila Tagore on her flower-laden shikara, while the extras are all on their own shikaras. Eye candy all the way, and Shammi Kapoor proves you can dance on a narrow boat. You may fall into the water at the end of it all, but you can dance.

Friends, we are watching wonderful classic songs and dances from different music directors, dancers and singers here. ❤️

I want to share a dance drama which was composed/ choreographed, directed and produced by one of our members. ❤️

She is a multi talented person, a singer, dancer, corporate woman and a national champion in one of the male dominated sport.

Wherever her passion took her, she demonstrated her commitment in each and every field. ⭐️

Do you want to see her spectacular performance???

Woke up and immediately went back to this song because - it's freezing and I can't function in this cold. The single degree temperatures don't work for me, 5-6-7 degrees - YIKES!

Some warmth in the face of this song.

'Abhi Na Jaao' Will ALWAYS remain a special song. My father sang it when he saw my mother for the first time and to this day my mother is positively embarrassed, vexed and irritated about it. It is a recurring joke that would never get old. 😆

Movie : Hum Dono

Song : Jahan Mein Aisa Koun Ha

Singer : Lata Mangeshkar

Lyrics : Sahir Ludhianvi

Music : Jaidev

Good morning Everyone!

Today's vehicles - Horse drawn vehicle

Song: Mera salaam le jaa

Movie: Udan Khatola, 1955

Songs on horse-drawn vehicles (mainly tangas and Victorias) are dime a dozen onscreen. So even though there are loads of tanga songs, I’m going to skip a tanga in favour of another horse-drawn vehicle: a chariot. This song has the `tanga beats’ popularised by O P Nayyar, but here used by Naushad. And there are three different modes of transport here: the heroine (Nimmi, looking gorgeous) is driving the chariot; her friends are on horseback; and the hero (Dilip Kumar, though he isn’t shown here) is in an aeroplane that looks like a paper cut out. Not a very convincing picturization, but the song’s wonderful.

Cheers..
