Absolutely, at this point in the story Akshara and Abhimamyu are not even compatible with each other and a child for no mistake of his might face the consequences.

Giving a name is not sufficient, If you can't be there for your child don't become a parent.

And a wife is not a vessel, you become a parent because a lady chose to bear your child. Never forget that.

Similarly, a husband's love cannot be taken for granted; communication and building trust is necessary.

Hope this show can convey these messages properly if the TRPs keep them at 2, 3 or 4 consistently or they'll have no redemption it can go down the drain like lost as one of the cringiest popular shows to exist in post pandemic Era.

Here's a perspective:

Attachments can be strong bonds too, not every relationship may need a blood connection or real paper stamping. Some bonds are heartfelt.

I know he's getting a lot of hate as hint lady has constantly created negativity for him from even before when he was introduced in the show.

At the stage in story they've met both Abhinav and Akshara are near orphans, If there exists a kid that can give them a sense of belonging in this world why would he not get attached to the kid. He's been shown as an empath and as far as he's seen the unborn kid's dad seems to not care; kinda natural to feel protective for the child for an empath?

Not justifying, just discussing the character.
