I'm fine with people shipping Katha and Viaan..It's fiction afterall and I don't take it seriously. But some of the replies in DDT were so disturbing to read..that Katha has made a choice and that she isn't a victim. People must understand that Katha might have verbally said "yes" but non verbally she made it clear with her gestures that she isn't okay with the act. Yet he went ahead with it and funny part is he manages to make himself a victim out of the situation and keeps harping about how Katha disappointed him. This guy sleeping with a woman in the pretext of testing her is okay but Katha is the one who is characterless according to him..The scene right after the ons where Katha was literally feeling suffocated and was gasping for breath is a proof enough of how much "consent" was involved in the act.

I’m watching for Katha. She is shown strong & resilient. Her acting is amazing

If she needs to end up with someone as per the story I would much rather it be Ehsan who truly seems to respect her. Had she gone to him with her request he would have asked many questions & maybe even earn her trust.

But alas the whole show is about a paid ‘ONS’ & how it turns to love 🥴

Lemme start w the fact that it's not a ONS. It's rape. Stop whitewashing the incident. She's not ready for that, she did not want it, and it's forced prostitution. She's forced to sell herself.

The fact that she shuddered in fear when he touched her, yet he's able to perform further is evident of his true character. He's a rapist who doesnt have any concern for women's autonomy, comfort, basic physical boundaries.

The nibbi response to the show is most disgusting part, this is what audience, esp nibbis are gonna learn to accept. Rape aint a big deal as long as there're sweet gestures and coffee involved later on.

This show is more regressive than colors+sp combined.

This show is just promoting the old misogynist notion that if it's a hot guy, women don't really mind assault. Which is wrong in reality, plenty of women have come out against hot, rich, successful men, bc its not abt looks, it's abt consent.

However the whitewashing of a criminal for nibbi audience here, is pukeworthy. He solicited sex using his power from an employee, which would get you thrown outta your job, but the fact that he continued even when she's shuddering in fear at his touch, just tells you his character. His 5 min fun was more important than someone's existence.

I don’t agree it’s rape. Coz that requires lack of consent on the woman’s part, and mal-intent on the man’s part. But Viaan did not know about Katha’s “majboori” or that she is in so terribly cornered by life that her consent is not real consent but rather left with no other option. He was thinking she needs the money for love of money. He did not realize he is taking advantage of a woman’s despair. He is a fool & can’t read people, but not mal-intentioned in that sense.

And hence Katha is a victim for sure, but not a victim of Viaan. She is a victim of life circumstances, of prejudice (of her FIL & Viaan), of the system (corporate culture that is unsupportive of women with personal responsibilities).

That said, a boss asking an employee for a ONS, whether for money or just like that, would attract the law against workplace sexual harrassment. The CVs could have got around that by establishing some initial attraction between the leads which makes it more like an adult single man asking another adult single woman.

It's not consensual. If it was, there wouldn't be any issue at all. I dont have a problem with ONS, go have fun, it's your life, and sex is fun. BUT Katha didnt gave her consent, it's coerced outta her. All the signs, before, during and after the act shows that it's S assault.

Yes it's not rape bcz everyone watching this show needs that satisfaction that he's not a rapist nd they're not rooting for a rapist.

Consensual sex needs consent, not necessarily in form of yes/no BUT enthusiastically participation of both parties. That's missing. She's not at all wanting him, and his intent, do you know how biology works in case of men? The fact that he's able to keep it up, and perform, despite her shuddering dear shows his intent.

You can't ask for sexual favor to a lady for anything in your power of your role. For example boss asking for sex for promotion is called harassment. Even boss asking it outside office is still called harassment.

Here boss ask for one night stand in office is clearly harassment. But he is not using his boss power to give her loan. He clearly said office can't give her loan. He personally will give. Now that's tricky. Still directly asking for sexual favor in office is still harassment. Katha can charge him for harassment in office. But she went ahead with the proposal so now she can't charge.
