Businessmen technically aren’t the same as industrialists &’I was talking about the massive industrialists, not businessmen, and the more old-money they are, the less likely they’re to marry an actress. Businessmen/industrialists inherit their businesses/ industries & that’s precisely the reason why their families get so much say in who they marry. 😆 They’re usually a family enterprise & even if they would want to, (and I doubt many many would) it’s severely looked down upon to marry an actress in their world (yes even today) Not everyone is an Anil Ambani who apparently fought to marry Tina when DBA wanted to disinherit him for wanting to marry Tina (this was all over the papers I believe & has been hinted too by them)

I don’t think shedding clothes or not shedding them to make it big, is some sort of virtue lol. Karan backing her isn’t an issue unless you’re an actress wanting to break into BW. As an audience member, it has negative 0 value to our lives.

Well, Aloo was not as much of a problem as Ananya or Jhanvi. But when I see roles like Gunjan Saxena and Roohi got to Jhanvi. Or Ananya working with Motwane. I am thinking a potentially good film is ruined. That is me. So it is ruining entertainment for me.

More than a virtue I would see it as something perhaps a traditional old money family that wants to maintain a sankari image would object to. Like you can never imagine a Malika Sherawat being a Bachchan bahu. I am sure Abhishek would have objected all that much.

Even I am confused at what this is about. Maybe someone else can explain. 🤷‍♀️

Jhaanvi did well in Mili, I quite enjoyed her & she was the best actor (after Sobhita Dhulipala) in Ghost Stories. The problem with Jhanvi is that everyone ends up comparing her to her legendary mother which is terribly unfair b/c well, she won’t reach her mother’s level of acting skills, heck, most people can’t, and secondly, she just doesn’t have that kind of electric screen presence that Sri did. That said, ofc Aloo is a much better actor than Jhanvi, am not even bringing Ananya into this b/c she’s just a terrible actor.

The Bs are a film-family, that’s a totally different deal than an industrialist/prominent businessmen family. It’s the sanskaari image definitely for the Bs, and also for these big industrialists etc but it’s also the way BW is perceived by them. And no, Sherawat is anything but Jr B’s type. 😆😆 He was probably being facetious when he said that.

And I am not Aloo fan. I hate that some of you make me defend her.

Also, I have crows feet. Toh batao.. should I step out of the house or kisi ko kabhi muh na dikhau. 😆

Did I say that about Alia? Did I say that she shouldn’t leave the house or face anyone ever? It was brought up that Alia looks young and old at the same time to which I replied that she has a baby face and crows feet. How did that become an Alia bashing or shaming or agism?

I have crows feet too, and gray hair that I can’t hide in a ponytail anymore, and a few other things that contributes to the cosmetic industries fortunes.

I have given up watching Jhanvi films. But I found her extremely wooden in Ghost Stories, Roohi, Gunjan Saxena and Dhadak. Her dialogue delivery might be a bit better than her expressions. But as a whole, I am not at all impressed with her as an actress. And she has gotten to work with some of the best directors and writers from the get-go. And with this advantage, it should be easier to give a good performance regardless of all the comparisons. But I am personally not impressed very much at all. And to know that she is working with one of my most favorite writer-directors Nitesh Tiwari is making me depressed. Because normally, I love his work.

And I think people over-estimate the kind of good prospects (good from their standards) that actresses actually have. Tina Ambani, Juhi Chawla & Gayatri Oberoi are clear exceptions. Doubt Aloo was that very popular with such successful men either. She ain’t an Aishwarya, Deepika. 😆

The Kavin Mittal rumors started right after her break up with Sid when she attended an economic summit with KJo and Mittal was also on the panel. After the panel he followed her on Instagram and then boom, media started talking about them. I doubt anything happened there because I’m pretty sure she was already with Ranbir by then. But I’m curious if media jumped to that conclusion about Mittal on their own or if her PR played a part there, or his for whatever reason.

What Alia’s statement basically meant was that Ranbir can sleep around as much as he wants as long as he doesn’t fall in love with any of them. An old interview of Neetu had resurfaced last year where she basically said the same thing, that she knew that Rishi was straying and it didn’t matter to her as long as he never gave his heart to any of the other women. Ranbir isn’t exactly known for his loyalty or fidelity to his partners. Alia is basically accepting him for who he is, or in Ranbir’s own words she’s molding herself according to what he wants.

Mera ek hi sawaal hai. How do you assess Aloo so much, spare all the energies of understanding her, analysing her both on and offscreen without even liking her. 😆
