Even if I wanted to live in a joint family after marriage, my husband is dead against it 😆
His motto is that he will do anything for his parents, go to their house to help them but will never live with them permanently in a joint family even if we were in India. He already said, if we ever lived in the same city as my in-laws in India, would have lived separately. Never had to fight for all these rights .

He is the most selfless and generous son of the three of them. Has been to desh every time my in-laws needed him to help them with their medical care, hospital care, surgery. The first person they will call is my husband not my Jethji and continues to go twice a year just to spend time with them, now just my MIL as my FIL passed away in 2021.

So this MIL, Jeth, Bhabi, devar, devrani, never had any of these problems even when I visit India every year. Infactt I got all my MIL’s jewels, she willingly gave it to me while the other two did not get anything 😆 But both my Jeth and Devar are chindi, even my husband says the same thing and told them in their face too. All 3 laugh about it too😆
