I liked the look of her. Natural and there's some hint of charm.

As for nepotism, this is her father's film. And Santoshi isn't going around running negative PR for his kid. She hasn't - so far - even used his connections to get films. I don't think a normal parent helping a child is something so unusual in the rest of the world.

Well, there’s normal parent helping their child get meetings and establish buisness network, and there’s a Bollywood father casting his own child in a role, more than likely without an audition. Is her case as egregiously unfair as the elites of KJo camp? No. But she reaping the benefits of her privilege.

That privilege is available to every creature in the world. I will help my kid over everyone else. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Just because it's Bollywood, they're not obligated to cast outsiders at the expense of their own children.

KJo camp actually works against outsiders. There is a difference.

Call me naive or idealistic but I think there are parents who will not hand the job automatically to their child over someone who is more qualified. There are parents who will tell their child they have to find their own way in life and earn their jobs, rewards, position etc. I don’t think parental privilege in the context of getting work is automatic and a given.

Tanisha Santoshi will more than likely work with other filmmakers who will give her roles simply because of who her father is. That makes her a product of nepotism, or cronyism if you will.

If she signs her 2nd-3rd films with other producer directors before this one's release or this one getting bombed only then would we call her a nepo-baby. She is wasting her dad's money, not snatching works from others who have potential. No one calls Jackie Bhagnani a nepo-kid since he is stuck working for his father only.

Not naive at all. I know plenty of parents like this in my own life and their kids turned out great. If I were a parent, I’d be the same way.

@BOLD:

Completely agree and it’s the same with me.

I’ll try as far as possible to get my son educated in best school.

But, he has to be diligent, get the required marks to get into a reputed, good college and do well there.

Clear campus placement in final year of college by being clearing written and oral interviews and get a good job.

Then they're delinquent as parents. It's not idealism. Mere abdication from family relationships to feel a faux virtue.

Networking matters. This girl would be an idiot if she didn't take advantage of the avenues available to her.

Negative attacks on someone else is another matter.
