You are absolutely right that the dragging spoils dramas but also if dramas begin with a clear cut meaty plotline, they can stretch a show till 38-40 episodes without the show becoming a torture on our senses....think of shows like Friends or Supernatural that ran for so many seasons and just kept getting better with time. If the show is to run for 40 episodes, they must plan out a story that is sufficiently interesting. Like in Habs they could have shown us what happened at Sadia's end, why she made the choices she had and what was the fallout from that choice that we didn't get to see.

OR they could have had an office romance for Bano, the development could have run parallel with Ayet's track.

With Zoya, they could have made it into a comedy sort of track. Amir's family trying to make the best of this new situation in their family with this wife of their son who doesn't hold back with her thoughts, words or actions. It could have been fun to watch Amir's mother rolling her eyes in despair as she loses another verbal bout with this "impossible" girl. But also we could have seen Zoya slowly evolving into a more mature sort now that she finally was out of the shadow of her two elder sisters and charting her own course in a positive way.

They could have continued to show Ayesha's fight to win back her dreams, getting back to studying, maybe Basit getting jealous of the time she spends in the library.

Hell, they could have shown Kareem and the new nurse falling in love and we wouldn't mind. But this boring Talal and his "poor" mother, Zoya's stealing, lying and then turning around and acting like she is some kind of grey character, Fahad acting like a loon and two-faced sneak, Soha being a total bitch only builds on negativity and brings us no joy as viewers.

No need to add anything else... I totally agree with all your points! This drama unfortunately didn't respect its audience and became a torture to viewers... The story had potential and there was enough space for character growth but the creators wasted all of that

Spot on! The show did not respect its audience!

We didn't start out watching this show to be fed this nonsense. Just by getting spectacular acting from Feroze isn't enough to make a shoddy track appear profound. Also I am shocked that Ushna chose to be part of such a ridiculous drama. Generally whatever script she chooses has some interesting, out-of-the-box element. I really think they only got the scripts for the first 10 episodes when they signed. That is the only way this makes sense. Irsa Gazhal (Sadia) got out in the right time. Things started going downhill and cliched right after the Basit at her grave episode.

True... Here in Greece we have a saying "one bee can't bring spring" (I had no idea know it sounds so funny in English) 😂 and metaphorically it means that just one person isn't able to save a whole shitty situation... Feroze is amazing and his performance as Basit is stellar but the way this drama turned out to be, even he is not enough to save it... As far as Ushna is concerned, I don't know much about her cause it's my first time seeing her in a project but in the last few episodes the only thing she's proved is that she's a mediocre actress...

That's a shame. Ayesha was a good character.

I may still watch it but not sure anymore.

I have stopped watching this show. I peeped into the last episode and meri phite karam… dimaag hi bajaa daala iss show ne.

In the initial episodes I loved the sisters bond, and here what do I see Aysha relying on this matchstick (literal and metaphorical reference) to escape and seek a hideout?!?!
I am out!!

I wanted to write a fanfic on them, but the last episode put me off completely!! Hats off to you folks for still maintaining your sanity
