I think it is fair to assume that we all are extremely disappointed with the way the story has unfolded. We were promised a mature story based on individuals battling their inner demons together, especially Ayesha helping Basit come to terms with his trauma.
While Basit’s character has grown by leaps and bounds, Ayesha’s character on the other hand has regressed a great deal. Looking at the way she is reacting without thinking, being foolish not naive anymore to not doubt Soha’s intentions, refusing to communicate with her husband after she repeatedly preached about moving forward from the past and forgiving others and is taking everything to ego shows that is not an ideal life partner for anyone let alone a wonderful and internally sensitive man like Basit.
How do you guys envision Basit’s ideal life partner to be? What characteristics should she possess? I’m just curious.
You know the way things have turned out, I am inclined to feel that Basit was right all along and his father was completely delusional to think that his son needed a wife. I think if we have learnt anything from the last few episodes, it is that Basit would be much better off without a wife! Not a single woman in his life brought him happiness. In fact, not even woman. Not a single person close to him has brought him happiness or peace. He has been manipulated by everyone and betrayed by some.
The take away from this is, do not marry. It can only bring in a torrent of grief into your life. Keep your friends at a distance because they can betray you. Do not make the mistake of opening your heart to anyone because they will take it, twist it into a pulp, toss it in the dirt and then trample upon it with spiked boots.
So, if that was the message the writer was aiming for, well done, I say. Mission accomplished.
