As good as Mbappe was with his breathtaking finishes, I think that special praise also needs to be reserved for the two central midfielders Griezmann and Rabiot.

Rabiot plays box-to-box at times aside from plugging the holes in the defense and Griezmann has done some exceptional defensive work in the tournament for an attacking player that he is.

Add to that an almost ridiculous amount of choices for centre-backs that they have and the fact that Giroud is also among goals and one cannot look beyond France while choosing the favorite to win the tournament at this point in time.
