the only logic I can see is that

"you are being insulted inside and outside so please stand up for self. "

"You are a strong person and please show that to everyone"

And see, even in ddt all are not nice to sumbul, we are commenting on someone we dnt know.... It's only adding up to insults

So he is trying to make her do things so atleast ppl stop calling her dumb.

Once she starts giving back, ppl are gonna root for her!!! (That is obvious from promo itsef) If she had displayed that behaviour before itself, ahe would have been thr first fan favorite for trophy.
