She is not a gold digger. She had/has her own career, money and is independent. Are we still living in the world where we believe women trap men with babies.
alia liked Ranbir. Whatever their relationship status is. Is baby was the only way Ranbir would marry, given the fact that they dont need to tell about baby to anyone if he did not want to marry her.

I think if Ranbir and Alia had been open about the pregnancy from the start the speculations wouldn’t have been this blatant or brutal if you will. Of course there would have been those aunty type gossips about it, but overall most people would have been like whatever. They had been living together since the pandemic anyway. It’s not like anyone actually thought they were sleeping in separate bedrooms 😆. But then Alia seemed adamant in not letting the world know how far along she was. She very likely blew up at Vogue’s insinuations about entrapment but publicly took it out on Pinkvilla. She hid her bump as much as she could, that is until she suddenly launched a maternity line 🙄. And this wedding being on the cards for a while doesn’t convince anyone, not when the groom is someone like Ranbir. Sorry, but it is what it is, dude has a reputation 🤷🏽‍♀️. People can also say yea the wedding was on the cards for so long but it only happened after Alia got pregnant.

And I’m not sure what being liberal has to do with this. No one is ostracizing Alia for having had sex before marriage or even being pregnant. People are making their speculations about her reasons for getting pregnant and the timing of everything. Two very separate issues.

As pathetic , harsh it might sound but the guy in question is RK. A known commitmentphobic . Also how Alia said she always wanted a simple wedding. Truth is they did not get time to plan a grand wedding.

They don’t have to be open. Katrina and Vicky weren’t open about anything. They didn’t even admit to dating each other until they got married. But that’s not how Alia and Ranbir went about their relationship, was it? Alia was open about Ranbir from day one, basically from Sonam’s wedding. So it’s a little hard to believe any privacy talk from her.

And no one asked for conception details. Please! Eww. No one wants that mental image of Ranbir. What I’m saying is when you act triggered by Vogue’s talk of entrapment you make people wonder. When you hide your bump you make people wonder. When you photoshop your pregnancy weight gain … actually in that case you make people wonder about a lot of things, but I digress.

Speculating that every pregnancy is an entrapment is ridiculous. But fact is there are women do get pregnant for the reason of entrapment. Some people do get married only because of a pregnancy. The term shotgun wedding might be problematic, but that doesn’t change the fact that sometimes a pregnancy is the sole reason for a marriage. You are conflating these issues and making declarations only to defend Alia and Ranbir and fact is none of us know for a fact that this marriage would have happened without a pregnancy.
