Katrina is an outsider and was never in a rich or elite khandaan nor a dynasty kid like Deepika, Sonam, Alia were.

Also her family background is shady. No one knows who her dad really is or what she did before joining films or modeling.

If someone says someone like her may be attracted to Kapoor tag to stay relevant or get limelight then it makes sense. She also needed security after break up with Salman or remain relevant or high profile.

LMAO! Deepika is daughter of a star sportsman. Prakash Padukone's daughter is not some ordinary girl or struggler who was itching for Kapoor tag or needed a filmi actor to upgrade her life or status. She got offers for modeling since childhood and had access to any experts from any industry thanks to her well connected, famous and rich family. Kapoor tag is not even huge now. It was huge till 80s. Not now. They have been mostly in wane after Raj Kapoor died. Rishi and later Lolo and Bebo kept them relevant. They had lull later. Ranbir brought them back to limelight. And he himself is not some huge superstar.

But it is a good question. If not the Kapoor tag then what? I am not sure what he was a decade ago? Now he just comes across as an old drunkard to me. I do not know what any woman would see in him now that his history of cheating is also known. So what? Was it the PR behind him hyping up his talent and as the next big thing?

This is what makes me curious too.

I never saw anything special in him. His looks are ordinary. His voice is weak and sounds like he always has cold and sore throat. He always does manchild roles. He has no versatility. He is zero in non urban roles. He is mamma papa's boy, philanderer and his family has history of domestic violence and misogyny as well as alcoholism. He himself is rumoured to have taken drugs.

Why the F will any independent career oriented star want in laws like Rishi and Neetu or a mummy-papa-didi ka laadla like Ranbir?

I really wonder what made girls from top families, at young age, at top of their careers, fall so hard for him and get so obsessed with him that they declare love for him or get his name tattooed or got depressed if he cheated on them or dumped them. And what made girls desperate to meet his parents and sister and win them over.

The public show of obsession for him and inability to get over him and equally public show of resentment against him is something hard to understand.

I am surprised how he managed to get those girls and make them feel so intensely.

Is it merely Kapoor tag and their wealth? What else he has? Looks bleh. Often got girls more successful than him. Or is it some special skills he has in bedroom?

I think sometimes PR successfully creates an image. He was hailed as the next big thing sometime back. As a whole even Alia could have done better. I do not think she is particularly attractive. He family has it's own shady past. But the girl is hard working for what it is worth. She was in her prime. I am sure India handsome business men that were better looking then Ranbir.

True. I never understood why Alia likes him too much or does show of public love for him or got pregnant so soon.

She had better or more options but I guess her background is shady anyway and was a broken family so she perhaps got attracted to more traditional Kapoors.

I do agree about PR. Ranbir has always had hyper active PR painting him as new king of Bollywood or modern day legend or future legend or most desirable scion.

That said, over reaction of Deepika and Sonam for him in public also added to paraphernalia around him that what is so special about him.

He has dated top starlets of his time. His parents also fought with his GFs and media for him. Alia flaunting his lucky number or Deepika getting his name tattooed on neck was really too much and probably did more for him than even his PR.
