As admin of this forum, kindly post more responsible comments and avoid promoting misconceptions about maturity or smartness or emotional intelligence and intellectual capability or self regulation skills of a 16 YO.

There is history of minor models, artistes being exploited and scarred for life or regretting later. As audience we are not supposed to encourage sexualising a teen. It encourages groomers, potential pedophiles and also gives wrong ideas to kids and teens, who may unknowingly become vulnerable to groomers.

16 YOs should act and dress in age appropriate ways. Period.

Legally any person under 18 is minor. Any s*xual act with monor attracts POSCO act. No hotel room is given to a minor or sim card. An unaccompanied minor is not allowed to travel alone.

I have seen pedophiles and some of my ex colleagues had even dealt with human trafficers. Riva is the perfect victim for them. She does not even has a safe person.

Firstly she is certainly not 12 and is 16 year old and will turn 17 in 3-4 months. People calling her 12 just cause IMDb / Google says so and I can tell for sure that it is wrong and it will be corrected in due course.

Secondly treat Acting also as a profession just like any other profession Sports, Tech, Medical etc. Yes it's more glamorous but the setup today is much more professional compared to the past.

And as I understand, many want to cast her in movies / music videos or promotions etc cause she is an actress and is a popular social media influencer with over 8.5mn followers just on Instagram and around 900K subscribers on Youtube. It's not very new trend and that is why we see so many social media stars featured in music videos in the past.

It makes me sick to read some of the insensitive and wild accusations which I do not want to repeat in my post again. If you do not know don't make baseless accusations.

I saw the "controversial" video clip with Karan Kundra. The only objection of mine would be to showcase "alcohol" in the shot even though it was clearly mentioned in her post that it was not real and just for show.

On the larger debate I want to ask is she the only one who has been paired onscreen with much older male actors?

It's easy for people to suggest that people should be 18 first. Many of the actors who made it big have started early in life. Not all have the luxury of being launched by their parents connection in the industry at the "right" age with the "right" hero.

I can relate to her cause I too had an unconventional start to my career. I am a self taught computer programmer. I started doing odd freelancing web projects work when I was 14/15 year of age. At age 17 burnt my fingers in running computer education business. Started working full time for a startup at 18 while still in college and I purely got it just because of past work experience and was very fortunate to be paid higher than some of the IITians in the company.

Everyone has their own journey and struggles and we do not know unless we are in their shoes.

There is a big difference between a minor working in IT and a preteen sexualised by her own mother. Your business would attract child labour law and Riva's case would attract posco. Both are different

In earlier times teens were married off. But now we do not practice it. Teenage pregnancy is the biggest cause of maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate. Child marriage sets back a woman for rest of the life.

A pre sexualised teen has more chance of falling into drug addiction, alcohol addiction and depression. I have seen this happening. Riva's mind and body are not growing at same rate. So many men get arrested at airports and hotels when the staff doubts something wrong.

I am not surprised it is mostly men who defend objectifying minor girls and using them as models or actors or making them dress or do make up like older women or claim teens are mature or girls mature faster. It is own fetish for minor or teen girls and kamsin kali that is behind using children as models and leading ladies opposite older men. This is the reason I have no problem calling a man pedophile. I have seen enough.

Didn't the mother say that the girl is in class 10th. That should put her around 15 at max. So still a minor. People who don't find anything wrong with sexualizing a minor should come under the scanner as well 🤢

I call them groomers. They sexualise kids. They objectify and fetishise them. They call them mature. They may not actually sexually abuse like pedophiles but groomers they definitely are and who knows how they view minors themselves.
