Shershah’s success was real.

Sid wouldn’t be the first star who has a flop after a massive success. Ranbir has Shamshera after Sanju. Shahid had Jersey after KS. Ranveer had a 26cr Jayeshbai after a 109cr 83.

The movie and Sid got good reviews. He’s trying his hand at different things and isn’t pigeonholing himself into one type of roles. Is this a setback? Maybe. Was Shershah a fluke? No. Will he have other massive successes like Shershah? Absolutely. Everyone has flops and failures.

Shershah did not release in cinemas, so we cannot compare the success of it to a the success of a movie releasing in the theatres, because both are completely different things.

How shershah would have done if it had released in cinemas, nobody knows, yes you can make an assumption that it may have done well, but that will remain an assumption, nobody will actually know because it did not release in cinemas. It released on ott which is a platform that is so much more accessible to people than going to the cinema. I’m not denying that the movie was watched by many people on ott and loved, but it can’t be compared to a movie doing well in the cinemas.

I’m not sure what this has to do with the discussion of having a flop after a successful movie. My point was that Thank God flopping after Shershah doesn’t affect Sid and his post Shershah status anymore than other actors’ flops.

I think it’s a safe bet to say Shershah would have been a big success. The viewing, traction, and responses that Shershah got was exponentially more so than all the other big OTT releases of 2021. It was the movie of the moment for weeks even relative to theatrical releases of the year barring perhaps Sooryavanshi.

I am in theatre and now it's intermission time. So far the movie is very good and entertaining.. not once bored. Not sure why movie is not doing well. Siddharth Nskhotra is very underrated . His comedy is very subtle and doesn't over do it. I wish this movie gets more crowds in theaters and people can appreciate his hard work and the movie itself.
