They're a good side, and this bunch doesn't seem to have the kind of toxic politics that was seen in the past (pre-Misbah). Think it will be in Pakistan cricket's best interest to continue with this side rather than bring back older folks.

The margins are small in T20 though- on another day, Pak would have won both these games (v Ind and now v Zim). Maybe they're also struggling to cope with the extra pace and bounce on these Aussie pitches.

They do need one explosive top order batsman though- somebody who can hit 25 (15) types regularly, which would allow one of Babar and Rizwan to move to 3, and strengthen the batting.

What a match. Just caught up. Bad luck for Pakistan. Definitely should have won this one but with this loss it’s all up in the air for semis - same as England it seems.

today's Pakistan last over & India's Ind Vs Pak last over was such nail biting...

i thought Pak will win, after those zim loosing wickets in 95 runs...

Those last couple of lines from skipper Ervine sums up what the sport is all about. Don't think anyone would have given Zimbabwe a smidgen of a chance before the start of the game, especially against Pakistan who were hurting after a heady affair against India at the MCG.

Zimbabwe did look good in patches, but they somehow managed to pass the "panic test" when it mattered the most - an age old problem that proved to dent minnows/lower-ranked-teams many-a-time in the past.

We had back-to-back one-sided affairs at SCG earlier yesterday , but the West saved the best for us to end it in an unexpected way!

It was like a shock to me when I read the posts at 3.30 am; the outcome was unbelievable.😕

I had the impression that Pakistan would win easily before going to sleep.

It is unfortunate that they lost back-to-back games that they ought to have won.
