I guess not only finance but farhan-urwa over interference can be reason too.. specially with feroze... I don't remember exactly but in one of his old interview, he did talk about it ...

Hopefully the producers will be able to recover enough through ticket sales to pay their actors. Am guessing Feroze also wasn't paid but he being caught up with other stuff hasn't taken legal steps yet.

But this is something I have heard about the film industry in general. Even in Bollywood and other film industries in India have heard from friends who work in these industries of how insecure the payment system is. Production houses can leave you hanging for months, years.

I think when they sign the project they get a signing amount.. which is a kind of payment. I think after that they can protest against producers if they don't get their money .. completing a movie without a penny doesn't make sense for me.

Possible... we never know the inside truth..

I heard too about it... celebs often mention about not getting their cheques for their certain projects.

At times they come in open and other times they said it jokingly or indirectly when influential ppl r involved

As for FK, I don't remember what he said exactly but when asked about Sonya and him completely cut off from the movie..

He said that they(urwa/farhan) are producers and they did the things as they wanted.. he clearly didn't want to talk about movie...

So what I am assuming is Money won't be only reason. May be farhan urwa changed plot to give more importance to farhan's character and it didn't go well with FK.. or may be FK/Sonya realised movie is not as good in final product as they thought it would be while signing for it. It happens at times script/story looks promising but end result is just meh... well these all are just my assumptions 😳😳

I don't think such a legal notice will have any impact on the release of the film. It isn't a staying order on the film release or exhibition, right? If it was a staying order, the actors may as well forget about the money. Producers will declare bankruptcy and payment will be indefinitely deferred.

But what I think happened here is also that because these people had friendly relations with the producers, there might have been some initial relaxation on the money front but over time that became such an issue that the actor had no other recourse left apart from sending such a notice. Though why it was sent specifically to Urwa and not to all the producers I cannot understand.

This film was probably jinxed from the start. Took ages to finish. Release got shelved due to covid. And now such bad publicity.

Yes. I see now how Sonia signed this movie. 😊

I think main producer for whom the actors were signed was Urwa. Co producers came on board later, after the movie got stuck because of financial matters. I hope this movie recovers its budget.. and actors get paid.

Something Haute discussion said that the film has been produced not by Urwa herself in her personal capacity. Rather it has been produced by the Shooting Stars PH which is joint venture of Farhan and Urwa. Also, other producers include ARY and Salman Iqbal. They also said while on the part of the actor, the intention here is to hurt the film, but the producers too should have anticipated this.

Btw today in India there was some scandal over this stupid film that has been released recently where apart from the lead actors (4 in number), everyone else has been left hanging.

This movie is completely cursed . If Pakistan had a relationship with streaming platforms they could’ve put it on there but with Maula jatt still in theaters and the underwhelming response to the trailer and songs I don’t see it doing well in theaters.
