Indian players don't prioritize IPL over Indian matches ever

Logo ko joh bolna hain bole, but it doesn't happens unlike other players of different countries as you said.

It isn't like IPL started yesterday

Its been more than 10+yrs and never it had small amount of money involved.

IPL isn't the reason why India hasn't won the WC in last few years.

Unlike other country players Indian players aren't fighting BCCI to play these leagues all over the world even when they are not part of Team India and still these stuffs are said.

ok. Let me explain my view in detail as my short post ka 2 replies aren’t consistent with my views.

IPL is actually a fantastic thing that has happened for India. A huge country with massive talent. It has actually given an avenue to help people make careers and that too well paid ones. Was there lots of cricket in India before he it Ranji etc. Yes. But IPL has truly given a viable option for so many youngsters to have a career and best part it’s now even extended with more teams and one of the new teams won it in their inaugural season. So let’s be clear. I not only have nothing against it but I enjoy it. In fact the team I root is the most successful franchise so far despite not so good last couple of seasons

in fact I think IPL has created a situation where India can in fact field team 1/2/3 if it wanted. Just like the ODI team vs SA. Sports franchises are an excellent thing overall.

Now coming to my one sentence — what have we seen last wc, Asia cup and some other tournaments and who played and how we won. I believe that to win one needs talent and hunger - both. A strong desire to win. And sometimes one wonders what’s going on. Today vs Pak we saw VK ka determination. Grit. Hunger to win. Talent to we know as he is one of the best batsmen in the world.

Finally as far as future goes - I love what I see. I think it’s like moneyball in cricket. Sky has talent but his presence of mind of field makes him super effective with high % shots given he places shots per field. Expect to see a lot more of that. I also see seniors will need to stay on top of their game and also stay motivated with hunger for success. Else there is lots and lots of talent waiting in the wings for their spots to wear the blue ;).

I might be wrong but one thing I can say whenever India played under Dhoni captaincy against Pakistan I never had those pendulum moments leave the first world cup final

I used to be relaxed that Dhoni will finish it even if we are in dead situation

Remembering the 2011 world cup where that situation arose still I was confident that we will win

Dhoni has impacted many players over the year

Even I am the fan boy who went to ranchi his home town just to see him play in his nearby stadium

Being in city of Sachin I never went to see sachin or any other cricketer but for Dhoni I was floored fan boy

And Virat, Rohit, Hardiik has seen his idol from close quaters I know how deep things must have gone 😆
