That is scenario of social conflict.

Largely we are discussing Government immigration policies. They should be more logical and from a fair point of view.

I am a child of the first type. Neither my parents, my relatives nor am I pissed off at the second type. Nor are we any better than the second type. In fact, I empathize with them. They have it much harder than I could ever imagine my life would be. Everyone moving to this country has the right to thrive as long as they don’t break the laws. America was built on the backs of immigrants, some legal and some illegal at the time.

Anyway, I think your discussion comes largely to class conflicts. Every one wants to head to places with better opportunities. Some people have the resources in their home countries to be legal migrants, most people don't.

Roma history has of course more layers with how Europeans have treated them over the centuries. And I don't think I am qualified to comment on that.

Nope not just a class conflict. The reason Indians have historically been the highest earners in the West has a lot to do with the cultural emphasis on how bloody important it is to get a good education. Your top global educational institutes are overflowing with Indian and Chinese students. It’s why we generally end up in high earning jobs.

I think you’re describing asylum seekers vs economic migrants and that’s a whole different discussion altogether.

I will discuss this some other day when I am in the zone. I was just here to make fun of this circus of a government in UK 😆
